Dolfan in NYC Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 One of the fun things about having the biggest star in the world come play for your team, is the premium you have to pay to go see the team play. However, I do alright enough that I found (for the Messi premium) very reasonably priced front row seats to the IMCF game on the 30th. So I'm surprising my dad by flying down to South Florida and taking him to (hopefully) see Messi play. Thank goodness for SeatGeek. (oh, and bonus, with this flight, I'll qualify for Gold Medallion on Delta. Score!)
AxB Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 https://vxtwitter.com/centregoals/status/1705282302152945850 What a Goal (probably. Maybe. who can say?)!
Raziel Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Totally forgot United brought back Jonny Evans as a bench option. THey end up starting him today and he plays better now than Maguire played the last 4 years.

The Natural Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Chelsea losing 0-1 at home to Aston Villa with 11 minutes of stoppage time to be played. Read that'll put Chelsea 15th in the Premier League table. All that money wasted by Todd Boehly. Mauricio Pochettino has it all to do there. Arsenal 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur at Arsenal. Spurs come from two goals down. Angelos Postecoglou working wonders there especially with Harry Kane going to Bayern Munich.

odessasteps Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 My Twitter feed seems to be full of unhappy Gooners and happy Spurs fans.
The Natural Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 BBC Sport: Chelsea failed to score for a third successive game to stay 14th. Chelsea's only wins in their seven games under Pochettino have come against Luton and AFC Wimbledon.
odessasteps Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Reports make this sound like quite the chaos.
SirFozzie Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 yup. Game abandoned, Ajax with one win on the season and in 13th (in an 18 team league), and scenes like this:
The Natural Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 (edited) Sheffield United 0-6 Newcastle United. Still 20 minutes left. Paul Heckingbottom will be canned for this. Edited September 24, 2023 by The Natural
SirFozzie Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Newcastle got a squash match for their first defense of the premier League title 1
DangerMark Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 First successful defence for them in seven plus years.
odessasteps Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Paul Heckenbottom, put your phone on silent.

Yo-Yo's Roomie Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Nope, he came off the bench against Arsenal. Rice's shot deflected in off him.
The Natural Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Chelsea's points-per-game over the last 35 matches (three short of a full season) is 0.8. That would get you relegated in every single Premier League season and have you finish bottom (or joint bottom) in 1997, 1998, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2018. Scary shit.
odessasteps Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 No quadruple as KSA beat UAE tonight in the Carabao Cup.

odessasteps Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 I guess Houston won the US Open Cup, since Dolfan didn’t say anything about Miami winning it. 1

Messi and Alba were out and IMCF, who Tata is describing as "worn out", didn't begin playing offense until the final 15 minutes or so. Hopefully they're back on Saturday vs. NYRB
The Natural Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Manchester United 0-1 Crystal Palace. Manchester United have lost 4 of their first 7 Premier League games for the first time in their history.
SirFozzie Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 And Man City fall to Wolves. It's all coming up millhouse for Liverpool (until they get a sudden attack of Ange-ina against Spurs, of course).
odessasteps Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Today’s loss was so amazingly predictable.
