  1. Past hour
  2. Dude, Shartnado, I can't help it... every time I look at one of your photos I think of Will Rahmer from Mortician.
  3. Oh god yes, that too. That frisson between 'bizarre' and 'disgusting' is so strong. I always get a kick out of how people think the scene of Divine getting raped by a giant plastic lobster in Multiple Maniacs is so distasteful. It's a giant plastic lobster, dude. Getting a rosary shoved up your ass in a church is waaaaaaay worse than that
  4. Annnnnnd they shuffled assignments and I'm no longer in that judging spot. I am a tad displeased.
  5. I guess with Ron Killings no longer being a comedy character (for now) there’s a void.
  6. It shows up every so often on TCM. It’s not there at the moment, it would probably been right next to Mr. Blanding. there’s a complete version on YT but in 4:3 and weird subtitles.
  7. Honestly, the scene of Edie eating like half a dozen eggs is what almost did me in.
  8. Just wondering why you do that. I find it fun sometimes, especially with me listening to all the crazy metal and punk I do, where a drop or raise in speed can switch everything up totally. And somehow the vocals still sound normal, unlike, say, putting a 33 1/3 vinyl record on 45 RPM. (Which, if you like Destruction's Infernal Overkill, actually do that on vinyl because it sounds twice as good!)
  9. Today
  10. Heh, you should do Jaws 3D for a tomato can. Or Jaws: The Revenge, just because of Michael Caine's infamous quote "I have never seen it [the film], but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific!"
  11. I've done the Brad Pitt/Angelina Jolie version, but not the OG version. That will happen soon lol if I can find it somewhere on streaming.
  12. Have you done Mr and Mrs Smith here yet?
  13. I will likely see the B&W 1934 version of The Man Who Knew Too Much sooner than later because I'm basically a Hitchcock devotee. Thanks for the kudos, Curt on Do The Right Thing. I tried to look for the Criterion Collection today at my local B&N and it got sold out. I guess it's Amazon for me. Movies today.... An American Crime (Netflix, leaving on 7/1) - 2.5/5 stars 80 For Brady (Netflix, leaving on 7/3) - 3/5 stars Never Open That Door (Criterion Channel, leaving on 7/31) - 3.5/5 stars Jaws 2 (Peacock, leaving on 7/15) - 3/5 stars If I Should Die Before I Wake (Criterion Channel, leaving on 7/31) - 4.5/5 stars
  14. Switch 2 version of 2k25 will be out 7/23 and will be in the ecosystem with PS5/XBS and will have the Island. The Switch listing also confirm that KSI is the 5th char in thr 7/23 DLC drop. July MyFaction updates: new factions, all red cards. One of them seems to have been unlocked already? New cards of the month are all 84 OVR. Naomi is the Star of the Month and the new Numbers Game is 63-70 with an OVR 89 Stephanie Vaquer as the prize for getting all 8. I had 3 of the cards (Lola Vice 64, Julius Creed 66 and Kofi Kingston 69) and it seems easier than last month's already not-hard matches as the opponents are greens.
  15. Red Rock West sounds awesome and as soon as I saw THIS picture from the Ebert review I just about lost it I mean, how can that not be the most awesome thing you've never seen? EDIT: And look what I found https://archive.org/details/red.-rock.-west.-1992
  16. Wes/Joe was pretty solid. Nice action throughout with Tyson and Tyriek well used for distractions. Myles/Luca was pretty nice while it lasted. Wouldn't mind seeing this run back in a bigger situation in the future. Thea/Lainey was pretty decent though the finish could have been stronger. It is a shame to where Thea is currently. She is one of the better women in NXT but doesn't really get treated like it. ZaRuca vs. Izzi/Tatum was good. ZaRuca was impressive as always, but tatum and Izzi worked much better together than expected and felt like a solid team by the end. The lack of tag titles match at Evolution being mentioned was interesting given these are two of maybe 3 teams currently in NXT after the purges over the last two months. Was happy to see Izzi/Sol set for GAB. Inamura/Jasper was pretty decent, but it feels like its a pinch early to feature Jasper this strongly as he is still way behind in the compared to others in NXT. The final segment was decent setup for Jordynne/Blake vs. Jacy/Fallon at GAB. I like that Blake's debut is in a bigger setting. Nothing blowaway but plenty of decent-solid matches with the women's tag being worth a watch and MOTN. Was good to see the GAB build going strong here though I could have done with a little more for Evolution. Did enjoy the bits with Ricky/Page and the Cullign celebrating their win backstage. Solid show.
  17. David Dastmalchian is M. Bison, and Cody Rhodes is in talks to be Guile.
  18. I can't see the upside of signing either. Danhausen is fine at what he does but I don't think that it "scales up" beyond the indie level, maybe they just want to see if he can sell some shirts for them. Private Party... I guess a NXT flyer shot is fine to see if a change of scenery unlocks something in them (it happens sometimes!) but that's about it.
  19. Christ, Andrew. That is one hell of a review of Do The Right Thing. Kudos! The funniest thing I've always thought about Pink Flamingos is that the final scene IS NOT the most disturbing or OTT thing in the movie. The... sex... scene is far more disturbing and the party trick is the most OTT. I mean think about it. That guy figured out how to do that in what fashion? And would expose that to who exactly, and for what reason, and then do it in public? ON CAMERA? And he was proud of it. BTW, that guy was later found in a Vice article as an elderly guy, looked like an aged college professor, and finally came out about it. With no explanation other than he was the guy. I just...
  20. I'm surprised they didn't have Roman Reigns and Jason Momoa be Ken/Ryu (somehow).
  21. Peter Dinklage screaming is somehow the funniest thing ever. Seing Roman Reigns and Jason Momoa on a screen at the same time looking like that is gonna be really, really funny too. Also, Eden is a Ron Howard movie? How did that possibly happen?
  22. If Santino Marella can hold the IC title two times and the Tag & US titles once each, I think Danhausen will be fine.
  23. Roan knows her way around a hook. She gets a lot of play at work because (most) of the girls also like her. My full thoughts on PPC are probably too political for the board so I'll just leave it at: this song rules and I'm glad so many people are able to take some meaning from it. Edit: Oh yeah, wrestling. I hope Okada/Ibushi is a good match. And a safe one.
  24. I turn 36 on the 18th
  25. I fucking LOVED Ernest as a kid. That's gonna be a must-see. The sad thing is of course, he had one vice that was of all things, cigars. And they took him out.
  26. I hate to say this but I feel there's no way PP get pushed with Street Profits still there, at least by this company. Maybe in NXT? They need a change though. What do they do with Danhausen? Make him the new Boogie Man? I feel like he's a guy who'd be making better money as a touring indie guy who sells tons of merch.
  27. Why not call it Re-Evolution?
