Death From Above Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Their run defense concerns me at least as much. Though I will say I'm out of Sam Bradford excuses. Also Daryl Richardson really hasn't done anything to say he's a running back that will stick in the NFL.
BobbyWhioux Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Would you believe I was sweating this game when I made my highway to ham picks? It's True.
BobbyWhioux Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Sam Bradford throws a sure TD pass only to have it dropped. Unfortunately, the pass dropper was 49er LB Navarro Bowman, whose name I usually type in ALL CAPS but not after that drop.
Death From Above Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Hey I'm the one guy that picked the Rams. I thought they had a legit shot at pulling an upset here. 49ers really looked totally out of sorts last Sunday. I grossly overestimated what the Rams would bring to the table.
Big Z Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I expected a lot more out of St. Louis this year. They are a young and talented team that went 4-1-1 in football best's division last year and added some nice pieces in the offseason (Cook, drafting Austin). Too early to totally count them out this year, and NFC looks significantly weaker then expected, but this a team that looks to be among the most disappointing so far.
Death From Above Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Haha, even the referees are having trouble paying attention now.
bink_winkleman Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Thursday Night Football Every Week is already the NFL trolling us (lol you watch whatever, whenever, you junkies), they're just making it even more obvious tonight.I dunno, man. TNF is so terrible that sometimes it makes me watch TNA. It's like I'm that junkie and you think you can just give me what the fuck ever, but eventually you push me over the edge and I just start huffing gas instead of buying your shit.
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I like that they got back to basics. I've been bitching about the running game for the last two weeks. Finally they line Gore up and say "go get it" and he does. Then Boldin starts to get going. Of course having Davis back is huge also... Opens everything up. Still, they desperately need another receiver with Crabs still out. Maybe Baldwin can be something.
RonL21 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 So, Floyd Mayweather bet 300k on the 49ers to win the first half. He won and now has $550k. Spoilered for size. http://instagram.com/p/evzmq4R3SG/
piranesi Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 That dome in St. Louis is going to be a lonely place the rest of this season. Maybe they can ship the Oakland upper-deck tarps over.
BobbyWhioux Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Oh hey the jumbo package finally actually worked. Anthony Dixon, the bane of Fantasy Football players everywhere, poaches a Frank Gore TD run once again.
Death From Above Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 My opponent benched Gore this week, inexplicably. And he started Tavon Austin. So thanks opponent.
Josh Mann Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Hey, remember when Jeff Fisher was the Belle of the Available Coaches' Ball?
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Well, looks like Staley is done for the year. This season is cursed.
BobbyWhioux Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Oh fuck the cart is out for Staley. Shit shit shit. Oh good he doesn't need it. That's hopefully a good sign.
The Man Known as Dan Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Joe Staley down, on a play he shouldn't have been in on. Hopefully not serious.
Death From Above Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Well, he waved off the cart so that's something.
Niners Fan in CT Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 At least it's not broken... but who knows
The Man Known as Dan Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I'm very curious if local media will find more excuses for Bradford. It's his 4th year, and he's not even a top 10 QB in the NFC.
Burgundy LaRue Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 The thing with Bradford isn't that he's awful. It's that he's just there. He inspires no emotion whatsoever.
The Man Known as Dan Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 The thing with Bradford isn't that he's awful. It's that he's just there. He inspires no emotion whatsoever. He's becoming a poor mans Matt Schaub.
