RIPPA Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Since I don't want folks using the BOLA thread all the way until next year. As mentioned: All Star Weekend 11 takes place on Dec 11th & 12th 5 DVDs for $40 Sale is Happening 1
Spritenaut 32 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I miss 2005 when PWG used to run storylines and most of the roster were SoCal workers not working anywhere but the West Coast. Indy Dream Match Theater probably sells a lot more DVDs though, so good for that.
The Z Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 They just announced another show for January 2nd. I hope they'll start announcing talent soon.
RIPPA Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 Funnily enough - they just announced Mark Andrew vs. Chuck Taylor for All Star Night 1
The Z Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 They're announcing all kinds of stuff now. All Star Weekend 11 - Night One: World Championship: Roderick Strong © vs. Matt Sydal World Tag Team Championship: Young Bucks © vs. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa Kenny Omega vs. Mike Bailey Will Ospreay vs. Trevor Lee Unbreakable F'n Machines (Michael Elgin & Brian Cage) vs. American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) Mark Andrews vs. Chuck Taylor Ricochet vs. Marty Scurll All Star Weekend 11 - Night Two: Marty Scurll vs. Timothy Thatcher Mark Andrews vs. Ricochet Kikutaro vs. Chuck Taylor Unbreakable F'n Machines (Michael Elgin & Brian Cage) vs. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay Matt Sydal vs. Trevor Lee (World Title Match, if Sydal wins the title at Night One) Guerrilla Warfare Match: Chris Hero, Mike Bailey, Joey Ryan & Candice LeRae vs. Mount Rushmore 2.0 (Young Bucks, Roderick Strong & Super Dragon (?)) January 2nd 2016: Zack Sabre Jr., Akira Tozawa, Drew Galloway That seems to be it for now. Tickets for ASW11 go on sale November 19th at 8PM PDT. Oh man, that sounds pretty great so far. No Lucha Underground talent unfortunately. Glad to see almost all of the British talents back, though, and we got Michael Elgin, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards back (yay?). Also nice to see they're giving the NXT tag team of Gargano & Ciampa a chance.
Technico Support Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 So did Elgin decide to not re-up with ROH or is ROH just easing up a bit after losing their shit last year? Either way, the return of the Unbreakable Fucking Machines is pretty awesome.
Tromatagon Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 No Lucha Underground talent unfortunately. Ricochet and Cage and possibly Speedball
The Z Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 No Lucha Underground talent unfortunately. Ricochet and Cage and possibly Speedball Oh yeah, forgot about them. But they are PWG regulars, so they are not that big of a surprise. I rather meant no Pentagon Jr., Aerostar, Angelico etc. I guess Cage and Ricochet will have to find a way to get to Reseda in time. We can still hold out hope for the January show for additional LU talent. Michael Elgin has not re-signed with ROH according to his Twitter. There was also a rumor on the PWG forums however that PWG was working hard on getting back the ROH talent they've lost. It doesn't seem to have worked for Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole, yet.
Red is Dead Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 You might not get the bucks or ricochet on the 1/2 shows. Isn't NJPW WK10 on the fourth?
The Z Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Yeah, the Toyko Dome show is always on January 4th. I wouldn't count on them either. It might be possible to get to Tokyo in time, but they probably don't want to take the risk.
Robert Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 We can still hold out hope for the January show for additional LU talent Don't hold your breath. Or blame PWG.
Robert Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Nope, nothing to do with anything on PWG's end. Professional companies usually have problems dealing with unprofessional ones.
Technico Support Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 All Star Weekend starts tonight! I'm still working my way through BOLA -- that's what having a crazy busy job and a baby at home does to you. Does anybody know why Super Dragon left during the night 3 8 man tag?
Jiji Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Yeah, he still wrestles like he did 7 years ago in terms of gross headshots. He's one of my favourite indie acts, so I hope he picks his spots better.
Technico Support Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I wonder if the concussion wasn't accidental, though. He did a flying stomp and then disappeared, so maybe it was just a bad bump off that move. I dont; remember him taking gross headshots in that one but I could be wrong.
BohsJohnny Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I forget who but when the four guys did their dive one of them landed right on Super Dragon's head. When the Bucks were on Meltzer's show a few months ago they said they had to talk him through his spots after that till he just had enough and went to the back. 2
nate Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I'd have enough if the Young Bucks had to talk me through anything too. "Ok, dude; now, superkick ..." "No Matt." "Shut up Nick; okay, now superkick ..." 2
John Austin Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Big return at ASW last night Adam Cole returns and rejoins Mt. Rushmore
