Also, before anyone goes that route, Randy Couture still has one fight left on his UFC deal. In addition, Couture has been on the outs with the UFC since he did Fight Master. It ain't happening.

caposa @GrabakaHitman 4m

via TSGIGOR on @theUG "Fedor retired from the Ministry of Sports and began intensively preparing today. Negotiations include UFC & Bellator"

The possible list of guys who would be willing to fight Fedor in Bellator IMO would be:

Cheick Kongo

Alexander Volkov (lost to Kongo and the guy below...so yeah)

Vitaly Minakov (hasn't fought in Bellator or been mentioned on a broadcast in several months DESPITE being their HW champ)

Tito Ortiz (is going to get mashed by Liam McGeary on the SJ show 2 months from now if he doesn't pull out the fight)

I seriously doubt Kimbo takes that fight and doubt Lashley does. Lashley might be swayed with some money, but he already turned down that fight before.

The funny thing is that the roadblock to the biggest fights for Bellator is on the Bellator side. At least Strikeforce had a decent array of heavyweights and LHWs that could fight at HW. The Bellator heavyweight division is just....brutal. So if he decides to sign there, you can look forward to seeing Fedor vs. Chase Gormley one day.

It depends on Fedor's intentions.  Bellator doesn't mind paying big bucks to pay former fighters to show back up, if Fedor is just looking for some money and fun (ie not the title) I think Bellator could put some fights together for him that would drive interest.  Royce could bulk up a bit and they could do a catch-weight....

Course if Fedor wants actual competition and doesn't want to be part of a freak show that does limit Bellator's options a bit.  He may as well go to UFC and get paid a lot of money to lose a few times.

He's 38 and broken down but I could see him beating all but the top 4 guys in the UFC heavyweight division. Fedor vs. Arlovski in a rematch but this time held in an exploding cage death match with the charges set for 2:00. You know one of their noggins ain't lasting much longer than that.

Dana and Lorenzo (along with Mike Tyson) were in LA for Ronda's workout this morning. However, people are kinda assuming they are meeting with Steve Bash, the attorney who represents both Ronda and Fedor. Listening to Cheap Seats on Sirius, that's what Greg Savage pretty much said and confirmed. We will see what happens.

Looking VERY likely that Aldo-McGregor fight will wind up in Cowboys Stadium. Pretty incredible

Terrible idea taking Jose Aldo's history into account. Not to mention the fact that he seems to be on the outs with the UFC right now.

The second part really doesn't matter because he really can't go anyway as champ.

The first part? This is why you stack the undercard the best you can.

There won't be any more makeup fights. This one is set in stone now.

Nothing is set in stone until both men step into the cage and the door closes.

Neither guy is fighting another fight until they face each other.
