Kuetsar Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Arthur Blank ought to have a security guard prevent Mike Smith from even talking to the team afterwards. . .
Vincey Greene Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 PANTS ARE OFF. One of my very favorite football games of all time. I completely rescind any comments about canning the coaching staff - except Shula, he can still go - they did a fantastic job today and in the past few weeks. No matter what happens from here, this season is a win considering the talent. And it all coming at the expense of the Atlanta Falcons? Delicious. I think we got a real shot against AZ and we'll see from there. 2
epwar Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I have not dog in the Green Bay/Detroit game, but shouldn't Green Bay be penalized for having so many extra men (the refs) on the field? 2
Death From Above Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 People are really playing the ref card? Fuck me.
Brian Fowler Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 My only ref complaint is the blatant helmet to helmet on Stafford from Peppers on third down.
epwar Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 People are really playing the ref card? Fuck me. When they call a face mask pull and the dude's hand just barely grazed by his face? Fuck me. When they are ruling a fumble down by contact? Fuck me.
Brian Fowler Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Okay, and that intentional grounding call.
dogwelder Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 People are really playing the ref card? Fuck me. When they call a face mask pull and the dude's hand just barely grazed by his face? Fuck me. When they are ruling a fumble down by contact? Fuck me. ANY contact to a QB's head, no matter how hard, is a roughing the passer penalty. So even if it's just a slight love tap it's still a penalty. And the down by contact rule sucks for everyone.
dogwelder Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Okay, and that intentional grounding call. Same thing happened in that Thursday night game with Miami a few weeks ago. I wouldn't be surprised if the league office silently told refs that there has to be a certain distance for receivers to be in the area to determine intentional grounding.
Brian Fowler Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 The facemask call wasn't on a qb. But it was right by the letter of the rule. I miss the minor facemask rule.
Death From Above Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 That was a crazy onside kick. Detroit with one last life.
dogwelder Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 The facemask call wasn't on a qb. But it was right by the letter of the rule. I miss the minor facemask rule. Ah, right, forgot about that one. Yeah, it really does suck that they eliminated the minor facemask rule. That would have been the perfect place for it. Edit: And to be fair, if they're not going to bring back the minor, they really should let that be reviewable or something. It's too easy for a hand to slip off shoulder pads at times.
RIPPA Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Well Harbaugh better be leaving now the way the Niners are acting
Death From Above Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Just saw someone say that Kaepernick didn't throw a single fourth quarter TD all season? What? That's... really surprising.
dogwelder Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Ok...that right there was a bullshit call.
Brian Fowler Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 He was more in than Rodgers was on his touchdown, if nothing else. 2
dogwelder Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 And I have no idea how the refs could see definitive proof that the ball hadn't broke the line by then.
Death From Above Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 He was more in than Rodgers was on his touchdown, if nothing else. You mean the one where nobody actually touched him and his entire upper body went across the line?
ivpvideos Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I am a diehard Packer fan and I don't get how you could overturn that call.
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I'm not sure if Seattle is the best team but it will be hell trying to win there.
