I watched a movie tonight so I missed most of the basketball. Tuned in to see Denver down by 27 shooting 33%. Congrats to Minny on responding. That's why the games are played. Not sure what to think about Game 7.

Well when you put your world champion in a match with Cage, Your women’s champion in a match with Saraya’s lackey, and you main event with Dax Harwood the number is gonna look bad. Especially against NHL and NBA playoffs. Heck the NFL schedule reveal from 8-9 probably did higher numbers too. Just to be clear I did watch AEW, and the schedule reveal wouldn’t get me as a viewer. I’d rather read it in ten seconds than watch an hour of it.

Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 672,000 viewers on TBS, down 5.5 percent from last week. It’s the lowest audience total for a Wednesday airing of the show since June 24, 2020. Damn.

I turned this game off after the first goal, but then Chris Kreider happened. HANG THE FUCK ON. YES~~~

It's extremely good and unusually for a city builder there's a lot of tension as opposed to a freeform, but it's absolutely one of the grimmest things I've ever played. I don't think it's a big spoiler to say one of the first major decisions you'll face is whether to allow child labour to raise the chances of survival or not, and that tells you something about the tone. But in terms of game mechanics, it's very solid.

Mostly short matches and squashes this week but a few highlights. Surprised it took this long for Satnam Singh to be wrestling on ROH with Lethal too. Skye Blue vs. Rachael Ellering was very good. Nicole Matthews is always great and put on a fun main event with Athena. Her graphic was simply "Nicole" but she was introduced and talked about otherwise in full name. Nice touch for commentary to go over their SHIMMER history with Nicole having wins in the past over Athena. Aminata looked awesome on the post-match save. Loving the setup of Queen as Athena's next big challenge.

This probably should be in the documentary thread but I would say this is the "Stupid Crap an Entire Team Do". This series on talks about the 1990 Yankees. A god awful team with some incredible crazy shit going on. Most of it is the story about the Howie Spira/George Steinbrenner/Dave Winfield saga and all of the insane shit from all three. But you also have stuff like Pasqual Perez signing, Mel Hall and his open relationship with a 16 year old, Don Mattingly signing, more manager bullshit, a pitcher throwing a no hitter and losing 4-0, and much more. Really fun stuff

I'm hoping we don't get a Claudio turn at the ppv. Or a turn from Danielson. Or a turn from anybody else.

I love Bam Bam Bigelow going up against King Kong Bundy, One Man Gang, and Andre. After he eliminates Bundy and the Gang, you really believe he had a real chance at beating Andre. At least, seven year old me did.

I’m on NG+5 and still haven’t done the Crimson Fleet storyline. I also still need to finish Barrett’s arc.

If it was possible to avoid ship combat in this one I would, but no matter what faction you side with the end result is always a dogfight in space (you & whatever faction versus 8-10 ships from the other faction). I think the SysDef one even has a thing where depending on how much evidence you turn in results in more/less backup. I’m just going to skip it for now and go do other things. Not like my quest load is light or anything. I thought about blasting through the main story just to get a NG+ going but I’m too far in now.

New Pinball FX4 tables: Knight Rider and Pacific Rim were the ones that felt great immediately. Xena might be ok. Has that crappy quiet zen table ambiance after the kickass POWER PASSION DANGER intro. Knight Rider looks and sounds and plays awesome. It's a secret time traveling Steve Ritchie Mandela effect table. This is in the vein of their System Shock table where it's quasi-retro. Pacific Rim feels good. Similar to the oldass Zen Earth Defense table. I've liked all the Legendary tables. BSG table is a bit shit. Not as bad as that Homeworld table but it ain't making me want to investigate. I'm in the wait for first sale in 2 months camp on FX4. I've got 90 percent of the tables and will only bite on those Snoopy and Garfield tier tables when I see $1.99. Might get pacific rim tho. Three day weekends a'comin'. I wish they'd bring the AVP and Doom tables to the new engine. I have no idea how fucky the Bethesda situation is now. The AVP and Aliens tables are awesome. Aliens might be their best theme utilization. The Chucky table is absolutely great but whatever weird licensing restrictions they were working under hurts the coherence of the table. It's like they just had a little bit of 2, 3 and Seed of Chucky.

I made the mistake of attacking the UC during the mission when you flee from the Hunter and once I got into space, I was constantly attacked by UC ships and eventually just went back and redid the mission just running and not shooting at anyone.
