Thoughts go out to Rudi's family and friends xxx.
The Natural Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 (edited) First Test between England and South Africa has started. England are 6-1 after 3 overs. Lees out. Edited August 17, 2022 by The Natural
GuerrillaMonsoon Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 How long do they persevere with these openers? Both are shit. Crawley has some potential, but ultimately there's some real shit along the way. 26 average after similar amount of tests. Nah. 1

The Natural Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 England 64-4 with Lees, Crawley, Root and Bairstow dismissed, duck for Bairstow.
The Natural Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Stokes falls before lunch, England 100-5 now.
The Natural Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Second Test. South Africa currently 143-8, a fight back from 108-8. James Anderson and Stuart Broad take three wickets apiece.
SirFozzie Posted August 25, 2022 Author Posted August 25, 2022 Bazball is like Forest Gump's box of chocos.. you never know what you're going to get.
DangerMark Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 South Africa outsmarting themselves at the toss by walking straight into a good seam attack in perfect conditions for seamers to attack helped England. England resume this morning 40 behind, 111-3. The most shocking part of this is that Ron Weasley's big brother Zac is still batting. Are we about to hear the end of "it's been x innings since he last got a fifty?"
The Natural Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 England 400-8, century for Ben Stokes and Ben Foakes.

DangerMark Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 1 minute ago, DEAN said: Is that good? It is indeed. For reference, their opponents South Africa scored 151. Both sides will get the opportunity to bat again over the next three days. 2
The Natural Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 4 minutes ago, DEAN said: Is that good? Hello there, @DEAN! Really good. England lead of 264. 1
The Natural Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 England win by an innings and 85 runs. 3rd and final Test to come. 1-1 a piece.
SirFozzie Posted September 2, 2022 Author Posted September 2, 2022 Bairstow breaks his leg in a fall playing GOLF of all things, and will miss the third test and the T20 World Cup. 1

I heard Bairstow was out of the third test and the T20 World Cup. I didn't know the how until your post. Fucking golf!? Of all the things.

Cleavy Posted September 3, 2022 Posted September 3, 2022 Australia lose to Zimbabwe in 3rd ODI, but win the series 2-1.
SirFozzie Posted September 8, 2022 Author Posted September 8, 2022 Doesn't look like the third test is going to go off with the death of QEII
SirFozzie Posted September 10, 2022 Author Posted September 10, 2022 Well, I'm shocked they played. And even more shocked that we might actually get a result in a three day test match, South Africa bowled out for 118, and england 88/3 as I type this 1

DangerMark Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 (edited) Well, as someone who railed against four day tests, that we might get another result in three is gonna make me look stupid. On the other hand, this test has lost two days, and four days scheduled would not give us a result. At any rate, this is madness and it's great. EDIT: England started the day 36 runs ahead, ended their innings within fifteen minutes 40 ahead. Edited September 11, 2022 by DangerMark Didn't want to double post.
SirFozzie Posted September 11, 2022 Author Posted September 11, 2022 And ended the day a mere 33 runs behind.
DangerMark Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 I was on a half day today, finished at noon; and those lazy gits were done before I was.
