I do appreciate the balls to take up half of the runtime of your "last episode" with a single fight scene.  This show does big multi-person fight scenes incredibly well, but I'm a little disappointed that we probably don't get the blowoff with Zara-Tory or the Iron Dragon dude.

I never want to hear "sekai takai" ever again.

I'm so fucking sick of hearing Sekai Taikai. At least in this part of the season the characters were pronouncing it correctly. If there were a word bubble for Cobra Kai the biggest words on there would be "badass," "balance," "Mr. Miyagi," and "Sekai Taikai."

Part 2 of the final season was way better than the first part and maybe one of the best entries in the series. I'm kinda over the very melodramatic Degrassi shit between Tori and Robby. Loved the big surprise. Didn't quite care for how they swept legal issues under the rug, but I also don't really care that much because it's Cobra Kai. Chozen is MVP status. I'm pretty sour on the very end of the final episode of part 2. It felt unnecessary and it also sucked because that character gave major young Chozen vibes.

I'm expecting...

Spoiler

Some kind of a time jump where the Sekai Taikai is cancelled and everyone is back at home pondering how they finish everything off. Or, Miyagi Do, Cobra Kai, and Silver's team remain in Barcelona to finish out the tournament on their own terms.

I also expect another time jump near the end or at the end showing where most everyone is at, like Dmitri graduating from MIT and Hawk being there for him, Miguel and Sam getting engaged, Robby takes the lessons he learned from karate and uses that to start a promising racing career heading towards being a F1 driver (come on, everything Robby wears is racing or F1 related, he has to be a driver at some point), Tori and Kenny opens or starts running their own dojo taking the best and most important lessons they learned and starts helping kids get over issues like they had, a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner with the LaRussos and Lawrences with baby or toddler Lawrence in tow, Chozen and Cobra Kai woman are a thing, and then the final thing we get is a tease for the Karate Kid Legends movie with a cameo from Jackie Chan meeting up with Daniel.

I'm a little bummed that the one thing I half expected was some kind of a seniors division to have a tournament with Johnny, Daniel, Kreese, the one surprise guy, Chozen, and whatever red shirts they want to throw in the tournament for fodder.

That was definitely not Britt Baker trying to do a Russian accent.  They made sure to film or edit in a way that you never see her saying her lines.  That was all done in post.  Why they couldn’t hire a better person for the ADR session is beyond me, though.

It took me a while to finish this batch of episodes, but I thought they were pretty solid. I was a little iffy on the brawl at the end, but I guess it wouldn't be Cobra Kai without a chaotic all-out brawl. I knew it was gonna end in tragedy, but I wasn't sure who would die. I thought they did a good job of teasing any number of possible deaths. Pretty somber ending. Some pretty cool foreshadowing thinking back on the final episode.

I watched the last batch of episodes on Thursday and while they were overall decent, it felt like it was longer and more padded than it needed to be. Normally I'm not a fan of villain redemption arcs, but Kreese and Johnny's cathartic moment actually felt earned. Kreese and Silver dying was definitely unexpected but kinda felt like it fit in with some of the more over the top elements of the series. Johnny getting his win back at the end of the tournament also felt like the best way to end things with the faces winning but not in an overly cliched fashion. I did think they kind of hand-waved Miyagi's alleged charges and didn't really explain why he went to compete in the tournament.

Appreciate that these last couple of Cobra Kai episodes brought things back around and remembered that this was supposed to be Johnny and Miguel's story.

Glad the last batch of episodes kept things simple and kinda went back to basics. Somw good closure for the Karate Kid lore. Could have done without AI deepfake Pat Morita though.

Also enjoyed the final stretch of Cobra Kai! The show creators supposedly want to keep the "Miyagiverse" going and I'm all for it, give me a workplace sitcom set at LaRusso Motors, do a Degrassi style show with Anthony, Kenny & Devon but with hardly any karate, somehow have Stingray and Chozen hook up to travel the country fighting crime, give us an alternate timeline show where Daniel shows his true North Jersey roots and cracks Johnny over the head with the boombox on that fateful night at the beach party.

I think the structure of the tournament was dumb.  After Torey's win, Miguel could have beaten Axel 1-0 and Cobra Kai would have won both of their divisions but Iron Dragons would have won the tournament. WTF is that?

Aside from that, really fun ending to the series.
