Pulling inspiration from a whole bunch of threads going on right now...

Probably not a popular opinion here, but I was a big fan of Team AnDrew in CZW back when he first got started.  I haven't seen a lot of his recent stuff, but from all accounts he's getting a lot better and growing into the whole arrogant technician gimmick.

Yeah, I like him a lot, even though I've only seen a handful of his matches. (Not counting his masked work in Chikara)

He reminds me a bit of 2005/2006 Bryan Danielson. Really liked his match against Chris Dickinson from Beyond last summer. Too bad that's not on Youtube.

Who? The guy who plays Soldier Ant?

For some of these younger or less-known workers (seriously, 80s lucha joshi?) it'd be really helpful if someone would type up at least a brief description of who the person is, what they do, where/when they did it, and why the casual observer should care. I don't even remember the last time I watched a full Chikara show, so many of the young rookies (or veterans finally wrestling unmasked) are totally unfamiliar to me; and, I suspect, a large number of our fellow posters. The links are nice and everything, but some folks are either short on time or simply not patient enough to watch a full match involving some stranger (I've fallen into both camps at times).

I always liked that most people here kept the chikara characters identities secret, esp when they were playing multiple people in the company.

In the case of Gulak, it was one of those "not-so-secret-secrets." I mean it doesn't bother me a ton although a part of me wept when I found out who Latvian Proud Oak was. But that's a conversation for another day.

Probably the same w Fire Ant.

I went to a WIF show and had no idea some of the gimmicks were regulars. But it made sense afterward.

Saw him for the first time at BOLA this past weekend against REdragon... He was fine?

I didn't get a lot of wow factor out of the guy, but I also find Kyle O'Reily sort of boring so I might not have been in the best mindset for the match.

Just posting some stuff from the time period for March Madness purposes. Of course finding "postable" matches from the time period is harder than it should be

It seems like he's kinda been bringing back the old school British influence to the Indys again along with Biff Busick and Timothy Thatcher. And by that, I mean he wrestles like he tends to wrestle like he wants to be Regal or Finley. He's kinda awesome.
