piranesi Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 That desk was awesome. Put it in storage? Damned heathens.
piranesi Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Looking up the nook, I stumbled onto this: http://design-milk.com/favorite-tv-home-apartment-floor-plans/ It's scary how instantly I would have recognized most of these even if they weren't labeled.
RandomAct Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 So the show got extended for 3 more seasons. I'm a fan of the show, but wtf. How much further can you take this show?
TheVileOne Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 That takes it to 10 seasons I think, but yeah, sounds nuts. Well when you have a hit franchise like this, got to milk for all its worth. Should How I Met Your Mother have dragged on for 9 seasons?
Guest Edwin Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 It being renewed for 3 more seasons is really going to burn out the show though.I guess we're eventually going to see Leonard marry Penny within the next season and Sheldon finally sleeping with Amy.

piranesi Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I can't blame them. Those last 3 years will make them all more money than the first seven probably.
RandomAct Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 It is kind of amazing that a show with such a simple, one note premise became such a juggernaut. At first glance, it seems like a show with such a short shelf life.
Antacular Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 They could build each season to the inevitable climax: Sheldon/Amy getting married (I have a feeling they'll get married before attempting coitus), Leonard/Penny getting married, and Raj/Jill.
Niners Fan in CT Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 One of the great things about Seinfeld (beyond the far superior writing, cast and chemistry) is that they didn't milk the series bone dry.
RandomAct Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 BBT has a unique problem in that it got super popular late in it's run. I really think that will hurt the show creatively, but as we know, creativity and quality take a back seat to making money.
piranesi Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 That ship has sailed. On the last episode I think I counted twelve jokes that were some version of: something something something HAVING SEX!!!!!!!! {laugh track}
RandomAct Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 Yeah, that was very annoying. Honestly, Raj is the only character that consistently holds the show together at this point. Everyone once in a while, you'll still get a glimpse of something funny, but usually only when you separate the guys and gals.
Guest Edwin Posted March 17, 2014 Posted March 17, 2014 I personally dislike and am bored with Raj's quasi-homosexual/forever alone bits.
RandomAct Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 Heh, that stuff is kinda old, but stuff like the scavenger hunt is just outstanding. Whenever Raj is just being absurd, it's great.
RandomAct Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Ok, the bit with Sheldon and the Geology book had me dying. 1
Guest Edwin Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Didn't exactly have my dying, but that was a fantastic twist. That was definitely a good ep.
Johnny Sorrow Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 That was the funniest episode they've done in some time.
Guest Edwin Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 That was pretty meh... Not a bit aside from the psychic stuff that I actively enjoyed.
RandomAct Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Yeah, very "there" episode. I don't remember the joke, but the cold open was mildly funny.
Guest Edwin Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 That was pretty meh too... The highlight for me was Amy's lines about whores and biology. Going by the preview, next weeks episode looks so much better than this one.
Guest Edwin Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Penny and Leonard are officially engaged and Raj and Emily finally happened.
RandomAct Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 I actually expected more from this episode. There were a couple of nice moments, but I was REALLY hoping for more "Serial Apist" stuff.
Tabe Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Binge watched the latest season over the last week. I liked the season a lot more than most of you it would seem. Definitely a lot of laughs to be had, even if there are a lot of recycled themes and bits. Definitely waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much stuff with Howard's mom (really? an entire episode finding her a nurse? Ugh). And the bit with the light saber belt buckles was really, really painfully bad. In general, I laughed a lot and that's pretty much all I ask for.
Patrick B. Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I feel like the show has jumped the shark for me personally, but the last couple of episodes were really funny for me. The most recent one had this season's genuinely stunning moment of Sheldon telling Amy "I love you too". 1
