  1. False: it will suck. Seeing the pictures of all five Eagles QBs doing throwing motions had the same effect on me as hearing the Anonymous GM's Mac noise on that RAW leading up to Money in the Bank last year; made me walk away and not even glance in its direction for a year.
  2. All this NFC North hatred makes me sad that the East is going to suck dogshit through a straw this season. *runs from Rippa's Big Blue wrath*
  3. I use Downcast for my podcast needs, and it does a good job gathering stuff around. I don't know if I should bother trying to get podcasts onto my laptop or just listen to them on my phone at home, but what PC podcatchers are good out there? (EDIT: I do enjoy listening to NPR. I guess it's part of that left-leaning thing. So NPR shows are fair game too.)
  4. I picked the perfect time to start watching it again. Bryan killing it for forty-five minutes was too good. I'd be surprised if Bryan/Cesaro isn't in the running for MOTY.
  5. Here's a conversation in the car Saturday night; Amy: Whatcha doin', daddy? Me: I'm driving the car, Amy. Amy: Whatcha doin', Mommy? Becca:I'm sitting in the car, Amy. Amy: Whatcha doin', Amy? RAWWWWWWRRR!!!
  6. I'd love to find the old podcast thread too, because I remember a few gems on there, too, like the Bugle. Much appreciated, guys. Keep the recommendations going!
  7. Welp, I'm not getting anything done for the next month. Netflix seems to have become THE Britcom place.
  8. Honestly, after it turned out that the killer-of-the-week wasn't the Brain Surgeon, my money's on it being Vogel.
  9. I figured I'd start this because I remember we had a pretty lively thread about podcasts on the old board, and I just got Downcast for downloading podcasts. I listened to Harry Shearer's "Le Show", which is pretty amusing if you like Seymour Skinner going over the current events of the day. So I figured my life needed more things like that. Here's my preferences. -Comedy. It can be high-brow stuff like Le Show or any of the other NPR stuff, but I'll also listen to good ol' standup and that kind of stuff. The only thing I care about is if it's funny. Satire and the like are fine, too. -Sports? Preferably soccer, baseball, and maybe hockey. -News stuff, maybe politics, preferably left of center. -Gaming, too. So what're you listening to these days, and what do you think I'd dig?
  10. I have a laptop (Windows 7) and an iPhone 4. I just loaded up an app called Duolingo, that helps you learn a language by making a game out of it, kinda like Rosetta Stone, but free. Other than that, I'm fond of Downcast, for downloading podcasts.
  11. There was an iPPV in 2011 with a bare knuckle fight on tribal land with Bobby Gunn (the BKB heavyweight champion). Already has a governing body (which is marketing itself with the 19th century old-timey aesthetic, go figure), too.
  12. "Can't you see, you're not making Christianity better, you're just making rock-and-roll worse!" So I just found a metric asston of audiobooks for classic literature. I can see I'll be chilling out for weeks just listening to the Count of Monte Christo without a care in the world.
  13. Dammit, and I already blew my vote on just Pam.
  14. I like to pretend that in 2011, DC decided it was getting out of the comic business and focusing on TV, movies, and games. But if enough of you guys like Batman '66, I might give it a spin.
  15. Forgot who said it, but I agree with them when they said Pam is probably the funniest character in television today.
  16. I, for one, would love to hear your take on the schmucks who bought him stuff from his wedding registry.
  17. I only feel that I can speak with any little bit of authority on MLS, so... UNION!!! Le Toux's presence was much-missed in 2012, and since he came back he leads the league in assists, and the team is just finally seeming to play to its potential. It's still a ways to go in the season, but things are looking good after a rough 2012. Though with NBC getting the rights to ALL OF THE EPL, I might take the time to study it before the season starts. Maybe even jump on the fantasy train. Who knows?
  18. My new champion is Friday night's Union game against Chivas USA; it was my third game, and before that they'd never scored a single goal. After going down 1-0 at the half, they rallied three unanswered (including a beautiful shot by Michael Farfan on an indirect penalty, vs a whole wall of Chivas players in the goal) to take the win. It would probably be the undisputed champion forever and ever amen if I'd won the charity 50-50 and took home almost three grand, but what can ya do?
  19. Here's a little something to help you guys with your Summer Sale decision-making. Can't really get any games myself, this shitty laptop can't handle them. But maybe some day, I too can blow my life savings on enough games to last me five lifetimes...
  20. Stuff like this is why I sometimes wish I still believed in God. At least then, I could be comfortable in knowing George Zimmerman would one day face final, absolute judgement. The fact that people are celebrating an unarmed black teenager getting stalked and murdered makes me weep for the future of society.
  21. My first thought was an attempt to make a Frank N. Furter figure on the cheap.Still unsettling though.
  22. If anyone has Comcast, you should be able to see it OnDemand.
  23. Raziel basically sums it up, but also Philly fans hate being proven wrong. A lot of us still think the Eagles would be better off with Ricky Williams despite the fact that he basically decided he'd rather smoke doob than play football.
