DEAN Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 1996, when everyone in this match was fucking awesome. 1

AAA had the flash in spades but CMLL really had the sizzle when you drilled down- they had a good 30-40 guys you could drop into a midcard trios TV match and no one would even blink. Not one thing wrong with a match where Astro Rey Jr (the future Mephisto) is the "worst" guy in the ring. 1
thee Reverend Axl Future Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 Mr. Nieblas and Shocker were two of my early fave luchadors. This is like looking at footage from the 1970s when you think how much lucha (and these workers) would change over the next couple of years. Just glacial changes - Pena, Konan, ECW were all factors - chingada, none of these guys look juiced out, even. what a world, RAF 1
Pete Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Like father, like son. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of original Dr. Wagner footage so we make do with what we have... and what we have here is pretty spiffy. 3

Pete Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 You wouldn't expect Porky and Universo 2000 to fit the "wrestling machine" bill in 1997 but they blind you with science here. MAIN EVENT WRESTLING, y'all. 2
DEAN Posted December 13, 2020 Author Posted December 13, 2020 Giant wads of Wrestling Machines in this one, but the one that one might forget is Mano Negra.
Curt McGirt Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Besides the fuck finish, this is about as good as it gets. 2
