EVA Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Would you consider me a mark if I said Jerry Rice? Lol. I heard one commentator compare him to Marvin Harrison, and I guess that's pretty close. I don't know of anyone in the NFL right now who reminds me of him. Seems like these days, everyone's either the under-6' slot guy or the 6'3-5" monster outside guy, and Cooper is listed at 6'1" (which means he's probably like 6'0.5"). But his skillset seems to bridge the gap between the two. He has the quick hips of a space player and always seems to play "bigger" than whoever is covering him, even if he isn't all that much. Plus, he's really fast. 1
Shadow Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Halftime Stats for Pac-12 Championship Team Stats ARIZ ORE First Downs 2 18 Total Plays 25 57 Total Yards 25 382 Passing 34 190 Rushing -9 192 Penalties 4 / 39 11 / 69 Possession 9:41 20:19 Turnovers 1 0 I'd say Arizona looks like ass but I think the numbers did that for me. The best thing that came out of this game was a young woman named Sarah Roundtree won $100,000 in tuition by winning the Dr. Pepper halftime contest. I couldn't be happier for her.
Josh Mann Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 So I think Oregon had a lil bit of a mad-on going.
EVA Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I'm kinda wondering if that performance might be enough to vault them to #1 if Bama struggles with Mizzou.
Randy Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Obviously both teams wouldn't hate that since Oregon would play in the Rose Bowl and Alabama in the Sugar.
EVA Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I tell you what, you don't just run up on a Skip Holtz coached team in the CUSA championship, my friend. At ECU, he took out one of those Sumlin/Keenum Houston teams. Now, Louisiana Tech has this Marshall team that was looking at a New Year's Day bowl last week on the ropes.
hammerva Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Well the 7 turnovers aren't helping much for Marshall. Plus I think Marshall was an extremely counterfeit team in a week conference. But yeah those East Carolina teams used to scare the crap out of me.
Gonzo Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Apparently the Tide is much like Grandpa Simpson, as they refuse to recognize Missourah.
EVA Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I don't think I've ever seen the center and both guards pull on a play before lol.
Hail Sabin Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I'm kinda wondering if that performance might be enough to vault them to #1 if Bama struggles with Mizzou. No the committee would just use it as showing how great the SEC is. Plus Oregon would rather play on the west coast 2 or 3 seed then New Orleans 1 or 4. Has any team this year even tried to press Cooper at the line?
EVA Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Florida tried to with Hargraves. Didn't work out. LSU did and a bit more success, although that was the game where he had a bunch of drops. Auburn tried to, but I'm not sure they even know what press is.

Cool just wondering unless the raiders trade out of the #1 draft spot or they don't believe in Carr then taking Cooper at that position would help that offense. If Missouri's terrible offense can't score or move the ball then Missouri's defense will get very tired.
EVA Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Wow. Bonehead move by Shane Ray costs Mizzou one of their best players.
EVA Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Dude, he clearly put his helmet into his chin. Not the worst I've ever seen, but clearly targeting.
Hail Sabin Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Yeah looked clean to me as well but that's the modern college football landscape. Well Bama will now start to roll even more with the only person who's gotten constant pressure on Sims.
Niners Fan in CT Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Dude, he clearly put his helmet into his chin. Not the worst I've ever seen, but clearly targeting. I don't really like the rule. It's too harsh and I've felt that way since they put it in.
Hail Sabin Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Facemask into his chest. If Bama does play FSU then Vegas should do a prop bet in the game who will be a bigger asshole during the game/postgame interviews Jameis, Lane or Saban?
EVA Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Facemask high on the chest = crown to the chin = flag every time in today's game. Just the way it is.
Burgundy LaRue Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Ray may have gotten away with it, but Sims clearly didn't see him coming (and was thereby vulnerable) and Sims' head snapped sideways. The crown of Ray's helmet caused the head snap. Not really that bad. But in today's game, that gets called.
The Man Known as Dan Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Man that was a gutsy play by the punter. If that gets blocked, Mizzou takes it back to the house.
EVA Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 He was cold as ice back there. He took his sweet time getting the ball up.
hammerva Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 And that is the ball game. Not like Alabama was in a real risk of not making the playoffs but a very strong performance. Bama is clearly the strongest team going in to the playoffs Your turn Florida State
EVA Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I think that might've been the backbreaker. Who wants to tackle Derrick Henry after you've been playing for 3 hours?
