odessasteps Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Oral History of the Baltimore Stallions cnsmaryland.org/interactives/baltimore-stallions-oral-history/
DouglasC Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 Releases today: Kerry Joseph by Edmonton, planning to retire as a Roughrider Henry Burris by Hamilton, with the also recently released Zach Collaros moving into Hamilton Weston Dressler by Saskatchewan, likely to sign with Kansas City
Death From Above Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I don't see a guy Dressler's size as an NFL guy but I wish him luck. Montreal is sniffing around Burris as a stop gap thing. Makes sense. Eskimos fans giving Joseph shit on social media are the worst. He was a good hand while he was here and filled his role fine.
Death From Above Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Scratch Montreal, apparently Winnipeg is already pitching Burris an offer.
Kuetsar Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I keep getting Henry Burris confused with JEFF Burris, the db from the Bills twenty years ago. Jeez I'm getting old. . .
Serious Darius Bagfelt Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Scratch Montreal, apparently Winnipeg is already pitching Burris an offer. Winnipeg should have pitched Collaros an offer. And the Argos may be getting sold soon so David Brailey wont have to burn through all his money
elizium Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Scratch Montreal, apparently Winnipeg is already pitching Burris an offer. Winnipeg should have pitched Collaros an offer. And the Argos may be getting sold soon so David Brailey wont have to burn through all his money Did they not? All indications here were that they were interested. I like Burris, but no thanks. Even if he manages to ward off time for another season, that just means we're starting over again next year.
cubbymark Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Scratch Montreal, apparently Winnipeg is already pitching Burris an offer. Thank God, because I would have had to transfer my irrational hatred of Henry Burris from his days with the Bears to my CFL squad in the Alouettes. Poor Winnipeg fans, though.
Serious Darius Bagfelt Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Henry has signed with the REDBLACKS!!!. Maybe if they are somewhat competitive Ottawa may last 3 or 4 years before they fold
elizium Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Oh Jesus, down to Option C. Max Hall Fever everyone! Really, it's a real thing, I feel terrible. 1
Death From Above Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Ottawa needs to troll the shit out of Winnipeg by trading them Kevin Glenn now.
Serious Darius Bagfelt Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Too bad Timmy Chang isnt still floating around
cubbymark Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Henry has signed with the REDBLACKS!!!. Maybe if they are somewhat competitive Ottawa may last 3 or 4 years before they fold Sorry, Ottawa. It's YOU I will be rooting against next season above all others.
Death From Above Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Not to pile on Winnipeg here, but Henoc Muamba at best now won't be around for half of next year, and that's only if he fails to stick in the NFL: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/02/05/cfl-linebacker-whos-drawn-nfl-interest-now-free-to-sign-anywhere/ Considering how well he played for them that's a pretty serious blow. One of Winnipeg's big problems was a lack of Canadian talent for the non-import slots, and that was pretty much their best guy last year.
DouglasC Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Yikes. Winnipeg really seems like they'd have a fighting chance at at least equaling the infamous Hamilton 1-17 season.
Serious Darius Bagfelt Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Bombers get Drew Willey off of the Roughriders. Havent really been a fan of what I have seen of him
Death From Above Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I want to mock the Bombers so bad but until I see Edmonton's o-line in action next season I'm not allowed.
Dewar Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 Bomber defense will be able to steal at least two games, but holy fuck, they are going to suck again.
Death From Above Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I'm not going to repost Arland Bruce's ridiculous comments about the NFL prospect that has come out, but needless to say he hasn't made many friends today. Also followed them up with the dullard's "I have a right to voice an opinion" card, as most people who don't understand that freedom of speech and freedom from consequences are different things will do.
Death From Above Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 CFL free agency opens today. Kevin Glenn is also talking on twitter. Basically confirms Ottawa are trying to trade him but only to a west team. Also very bluntly said to a couple of his fellow players "Tell nick and Keron Ottawa some snakes they lied to me". Happy times. EDIT: Glenn's now playing the "twitter was hacked" card, though it read more like a "thought I was PMing someone" sequence. Whatever.
DouglasC Posted February 12, 2014 Author Posted February 12, 2014 Here's your 2014 schedule: July 18th will mark the return of football to Ottawa during Week 4, and Hamilton's stadium will open with their first home game during Week 5. The Labour Day classic will also return to Hamilton on 9/1.
Dewar Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 So when the Bombers clinch the West Division title on November 1, they get 22 days off before the Western final at IGF on November 23.
Death From Above Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Only one home game in August? This is bullshit summer is like 8 weeks here come on.
