EVA Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 If Golden is recruiting Pennsylvania, he's doing it wrong.
The Erotic Terrorist Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Here is news I am sure will make quite a few here happy and not just me. Mark Mangino is returning to Big 12, this time as the O-coordinator at Iowa State.
Kuetsar Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 There's balls, there;s BALLS, and then there's this: http://news.yahoo.com/sandusky-tries-penn-state-pension-back-145323566--spt.html
Ned Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Opine that Sandusky wanting his pension back isn't ballsy, rather it's a self-absorbed act befitting a sociopath
Dolfan in NYC Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Eh. This is more the desperate act of a man (and more importantly his wife) trying to keep her from living in the poor house. He's going to die in prison probably, and unless she was independently wealthy, she's going to have a massive amount of legal bills. I actually do pension/benefits stuff in New York for a living and read the article with those eyes. It's actually an interesting case, he's technically not a state employee (though he is clearly a de facto one). So, technically, he's got a case and it will be interesting to see what the arbiter says. I'm guessing he'll get denied at first, but will win at least a partial restoration on appeal. Agreed 100%, this is sketchy as fuck... but hey, when you're a convicted pedarast, I don't think you really care about appearing bad to anyone.
RIPPA Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Yahoo is reporting that Bobby Petrino is returning to Louisville
Robert C Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 To the surprise of exactly nobody, Manziel declared for the draft. Not sure his game will work in the NFL, but I couldn't have asked for a better QB for the Ags the last 2 years.
Burgundy LaRue Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Yahoo is reporting that Bobby Petrino is returning to Louisville
EVA Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I heard over the weekend that Petrino was a more serious candidate at Louisville than people realized, but I didn't believe it. Wow. I can only assume he had to agree to the most rescrictive, iron-clad contract imaginable.
Tabe Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Al Borges is out as Michigan OC. Man is that good news. 1
Ned Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Yahoo is reporting that Bobby Petrino is returning to Louisville Worth revisiting via a 2010 Cincinnati.com blog post: "Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is not one to mince words. So when it came time to ask him about his first return to Atlanta since the 2007 season from hell, when the Falcons went 4-12, and Petrino resigned with three games left to take the job at Arkansas, Zimmer pulled out the Ginsu knives “'He’s a gutless b—–d. Quote that. I don’t give a s—.' "When told that we might might not be able to use the B word, Zimmer went one better: 'How about this, gutless MF. You can use that'” NY Post’s Bart Hubbuch twitted today, “Favorite Petrino story: He was Jaguars' OC in 2001 when I covered them. Sneaked away to Auburn after season without telling Coughln. Coughlin wasn't aware Petrino had left until Auburn announced his hiring. Coughlin was furious, supposedly never spoke to him again”....
APO Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Hubcap can eat a bag of dicks, but that story is true..
EVA Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Al Borges is out as Michigan OC. Man is that good news. Try some Doug Nussmeier on for size.Dear Lord. Lane Kiffin to Bama is really going to happen.
Burgundy LaRue Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 All possible jokes aside, Kiffin as Alabama's new offensive guru isn't the worst idea I've heard. They could use a bit of shaking up. The guy's ego is ridiculous, but he can recruit. Having him on board could help with developing new QBs. And he has to know this would be his last chance at staying at the big boys' table career-wise. If he can't make it under Saban, it's third-tier colleges for Kiffin. He may not get the gig, but I think he'll do everything possible to be successful if he did.
The Erotic Terrorist Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 If they hire James Franklin, the headline should be, "It's Official: Rape Okay at Penn State." Allegedly, they are offering him the job and he'll decide Thursday proper. Simply incredible.
TimLivingston Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Doug Nussmeier is the new Michigan OC, which isn't the worst hire in the world.
Brian Fowler Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Gotta be better than Borges. Has to be. 86th in the nation with that talent? Absurd.
Tabe Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Good hire for Michigan but I have to wonder why he was even available. Regardless, if he recognizes that Michigan has two incredibly athletic tight ends that cannot be covered and, ya know, uses them, he'll be miles ahead of Al.
Brian Fowler Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Remember the days when the play-action roll out pass to the tight end was more or less the foundation of Michigan's entire offense? Remember the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP that came out of those days? *sigh*
Brian Fowler Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Jesus, they arereally offering the job to a coach who tried to cover up a rape. That would be awful anywhere, but at Penn State? It's cartoon super villainy.
JustJay Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Remember the days when the play-action roll out pass to the tight end was more or less the foundation of Michigan's entire offense? Remember the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP that came out of those days? *sigh* As a tOSU fan...... I hated those days. Fuck Cooper.
