RIPPA Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 I was research for something else when I say that today is the 26th anniversary of the Royal Rumble that Studd won that I am pretty sure the WWE would like you to forget about. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2mddjf_wwf-royal-rumble-1989-the-royal-rumble-match_sport 1

Victator Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 I like Studd a lot. He gets shit on by people but I find he is a pretty smart work guy who knew his limitations. WWE tends to push Hacksaw Duggan as the first Rumble winner.

They also ran one on a house show a year or two earlier.
J.H. Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I still like the Studd/Hogan cage match, its short but is still early in Hogan's first title run so he busts his ass James
mattdangerously Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 His youngest son wrestles for Booker T's promotion. He did not inherit his dad's size, sadly.
J.T. Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 I always enjoyed BJS for the previously mentioned comment; he always knew his role as the big man. Anything he did should hurt like hell, so no sense in getting into elaborate scientific spots when one clubbing forearm would do.
