(BP)
So far, this rules. Wish Alfred didn’t look like Jon Polito though.
Dolfan in NYC
Oh right the screening. So we all watched the first three episodes. Loved the art and setting. Very beautifully drawn and painted, very true to the 1930s art deco style. It seems they're taking great pains to stay within that timeframe too. First episode is a good starter, sets the mood, sets the new rules, and shows the stakes by showing how dangerous this new cadre of villains are. Second was a very nice whodunit. Though if you know the characters real names, you'll figure it out quickly. Third episode was a little more light, but still a lot of fun. I'm digging Bruce's psychiatrist moments. I'm guessing the psychiatrist is going to figure out what Bruce is up to... We'll just have to see!

NikoBaltimore
I'm really interested though would need to see if it's worth getting back on Prime to watch this. If they're airing one episode per week then I might be tempted to wait until the season ends and just binge watch it.

NikoBaltimore
Well, in that case I'm sure subscribing for a month won't hurt. Though I'll wait until the Olympics ends since that's what I mainly have on. Thanks. Edited August 2 by NikoBaltimore

dragonzombie
Alfred (Beagle) used to be portly in the Golden Age comics. Then DC switched his look to the thin moustache and slimmer build inspired from the 1943 serials. https://www.cosmicteams.com/jsa/profiles/images/golden-age/batman-16.jpg

Its funny you say that since i felt like one of victims from the Clayface episode was Jon Polito inspired in looks, voice, and cadence.
Johnny Sorrow
This show is fantastic. And all the references like Eel O'Brian and Corrigan rule. Edited August 14 by Johnny Sorrow
odessasteps
As a fan of the Gentleman Ghost, not a big fan of the redesign, but I’m glad he was still a ghost and not some Scooby Doo style bad guy. Also cool to bring in a proto-Vertigo character like Papa Midnite instead of just using Zatanna or Fate as you might expect.
Eivion
Finished up the show last night. Dug a good deal overall. You can feel a decent bit of the major producers involved on the creative side sans probably Abrams. The pulp vibe is neat. And the versions of villains who showed up were different from modern incarnations but interesting while not pulling too much away from who they are aside from Penguin. Don't dislike Oswalda in the slightest though I'm surprised they didn't go for a new character at that point. Was disappointed with how young all the Robins are, but I doubt we ever really get to the point where Bruce gets any sidekicks sans maybe Barbara since she is at least of age. Will be interesting see how the show continues to grow assuming they get more seasons.
