odessasteps Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Doesnt the Saudi transfer window not close for a few more days?
SirFozzie Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 yeah, but the team who was going to bid for him went elsewhere.
odessasteps Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 I was happy to be driving all day and then going to the rasslin to avoid transfer deadline stuff yesterday.

SirFozzie Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 (edited) First Old Firm Derby and I don't want to say it's been one sided, but the commentators have spent 80 minutes building up Celtic like they are prime Barcelona and Rangers are well, prime shite. (at least for Rangers, they're pretty on-target) edit: 500 appearances for James Forrest for Celtic. Just wow, in these days where someone playing three seasons for a team can be considered a legend Edited September 1, 2024 by SirFozzie
odessasteps Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Didn’t realize they had brought in Kasper to replace Joe Hart as the obligatory former PL goalie.
RIPPA Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Alex Morgan has announced her retirement from professional soccer This is partially due to her announcing that she is pregnant with her 2nd child She will play in one more game (which is this Sunday)
SirFozzie Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 San Marino! NEW HERO! They beat Licenstein 1-0 to score their first victory in over 7000 days!
Robert S Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Bolivia played against (and beat) Venezuela yesterday in El Alto, at an altitude of about 4.150 m / 13.500 ft. That's just insane, the human body needs at least a week to acclimate to that altitude, probably more. That's not even considering that due to reduced air pressure, the ball is probably behaving differently than at sealevel (in tennis even 1.000 m / 3.300 ft have a noticable impact on the trajectory of the ball, not sure how big the impact in football is compared to that).
odessasteps Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Either FIFA or Comnebol tried to ban high altitude matches. But what do you do if your whole country is like that?
odessasteps Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Of course, Rice and Graelish score against the Republic.
Dolfan in NYC Posted September 10, 2024 Author Posted September 10, 2024 The USMNT is hiring Mauricio Pocchetino as the new team coach.
The Natural Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) Liverpool 0-1 Nottingham Forrest in the Premier League. First time Forrest have won there since 1969. Nobody saw that coming. Edited September 14, 2024 by The Natural 1
The Natural Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) Manchester City 2-1 Brentford in the PL. Brentford score after 1 minute. Haaland the equaliser and winner. 9 PL goals in 4 games. Guy's a freak. Manchester City lucky to have him. Congratulations, Pete. Edited September 14, 2024 by The Natural

The Natural Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 For the first time in 65 years and for the first time ever in the Premier League, Everton have lost their opening four league games of a single season.

odessasteps Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 I like the theory that the Premier League got in EUFA’s ear about this regulator story to help try and get rid of it.
Dolfan in NYC Posted September 15, 2024 Author Posted September 15, 2024 Leo Messi finally came back from rolling his ankle during the CA Final last night. He clearly decided that Suarez had far too large a lead in scoring, so he got 2 goals and an assist leading the Herons to a 3-1 win over Philadelphia 1
