* - no President's Trophy winner with 119+ points has won the Cup.

The only chance the Flyers have for playoffs is to win in regulation.  So they pull the goalie around 3 minute mark and almost immediately gives up a goal and are losing.  Still a lot of time

The Caps are the 8th seed.  I don't have a ton of faith but frankly the only times they are good in the playoffs is when they are big dogs

Speaking of choking...  the Bruins lost in Ottawa!

Florida's about 10 minutes from grabbing the division title and facing Tampa instead of Toronto.

Detroit needed to win and needed Philly to not lose in regulation. Detroit handled their business with another miracle - tying with 3.3 seconds, killing a penalty in OT, and winning in a shootout. Alas, Philly couldn't handle theirs so Detroit was eliminated. 

Detroit threw away the playoffs, bottom line.

Apparently the Flyers had already been eliminated before Torts pulled the goalie so they basically threw the game away for no reason

Granted it only happened like a minute before so it’s possible it just wasn’t communicated quick enough

Yeah Torts said after the game that he wasn't told about being eliminated until right after the Caps scored
