The Natural Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Just announced: Ilia Topuria vs. Max Holloway at UFC 308, 26th October. If Max wins, he's Fighter of the Year moving up in weight to KTFO Justin Gaethje to win the BMF Championship and regains the UFC Featherweight Championship against an undefeated 15-0 fighter. Can Topuria become the first fighter to stop Holloway with strikes? Max has had 33 fights, never lost by KO/TKO. One of the greatest chins in MMA history.
DreamBroken Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Just seeing that Carla Esparza announced her next fight at 307 vs. Tecia Pennington will be her retirement bout. One of my all time favs since the early Invicta beginnings

waffle Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 Does she have any MMA aspirations? I'd imagine she'd want to compete in 2028.
zendragon Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 Purple belt in jui jutsu. She's likely able to make more money in wrestling than MMA though given the level she's at similar to Jordan Burroughs

The Natural Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) Michael Chandler vs. Charles Oliveira, co-main event for UFC 309. I was hoping for Michael Chandler vs. Justin Gaethje 2. Be interesting to see how Chandler looks after waiting so long for Conor McGregor. Edited September 14, 2024 by The Natural
The Natural Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 (edited) Alexa Grasso vs. Valentina Shevchenko 3 tonight. Grasso submitted Shevchenko with a face crank to win the UFC Women's Flyweight Championship in the first fight and the rematch a draw. Regarding the second fight, how did you score it? I had Grasso 48-47 (2,4,5). Edited September 14, 2024 by The Natural

waffle Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 I had Shev winning the 2nd fight, but I wasn't too mad with the draw. 1
The Natural Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 I was thinking about MMA fighters with the best cardio ever. I've come up with: Georges St-Pierre. Khabib Nurmagomedov. Dominick Cruz. Max Holloway. Merab Dvalishvili. Demetrious Johnson. Frankie Edgar. Michael Bisping. Frank Shamrock. Rich Franklin. Sean Strickland. Sean Sherk. Benson Henderson. Tony Ferguson. I'm probably missing some obvious ones.

waffle Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 https://x.com/MMAFighting/status/1841587364982095939 Dom v. Aldo with the blue canvas would be pretty awesome. UFC will never do it though. 2

When Michael Chandler didn't get an immediate title shot, i was sure we'd never see it happen again. i like Asakura and am a huge Rizin fan (reminder to self that i haven't watched Rizin48 yet), but i don't know if i would've put him in that spot. i know he's got an insane social media following in Japan, but still seems weird.

Thanks. he's primarily a striker. has some power, but relies on speed. mixes up punches and kicks. can tend to lunge in and open himself up to exchanges. competent on the ground. uses jiu-jitsu for defense and control/strikes on offense. his fights are usually pretty good. 1

The Natural Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Meltzer: PFL fighter Daiane Silva, 29, is in a coma after cutting weight for her 9/14 bout in London on a Bellator show. She had fought previously at 155 and cut to 145. MMA reporter Drake Riggs wrote “Can confirm she was in a coma and is still there, although her current status is unknown. Everything has been eerily quiet as I’ve been tracking this story since it happened…It’s been kept under wraps because PFL and employees have been explicitly told not to talk about it.” That is crazy that this has been kept quiet until today. PFL officials haven’t responded to questions. --- Fuck, that's not good. Dangers of weight cutting.
