  1. I moved back in May and this was part of the OTA HDTV I discovered at the new crib. They burn through the episodes pretty quick, though. Love seeing "Press Your Luck" and "Card Sharks".
  2. I love this idea. I can just see the gamergaters blowing up twitter with their whining. Catalina was a badass.
  3. The opening scene was gorgeous. The rest was so bad, it's still bad.
  4. I guess I haven't been online in a bit, but this news crushes me. Blake's 7 is one of the shows that was so influential to so many later space operas. The dialogue and crew interactions on the show were spot on. Damn, 71. R.I.P. Mr Thomas
  5. This was far from my favorite Krofft series, that would be Sigmund & the Sea Monsters, but I love Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart so I am looking forward to this.
  6. We finally find out what happened to Bishop Brennan's son.
  7. Listened to this very track earlier today after I heard the news. Powerful stuff. R.I.P. Mr Emerson
  8. As a Raiders fan, I am happy with the signing of Osemele, Irvin, and Smith. All additions that fill needs they had. But with the specter of the last 14 years hanging around like a gray cloud, I can't help but think that they're likely to do something totally stupid anytime now. Maybe I was wrong about Reggie McKenzie.
  9. A very unique character that gave his all every time I saw him. R.I.P.
  10. Remember that opening acoustic guitar track to Battery being the loudest acoustic I'd ever heard when they piped it through the Municipal Auditorium speakers back in '86. The Auditorium was a sonic shitshow, but it was the go to venue for wrestling and heavy metal bands until sometime in the 90s. Might still have a Metallica t-shirt from that show.
  11. If I don't agree with anything supremebve has posted or will ever post, I must salute any clip from The Human Tornado. Rudy Ray Moore is one of my heroes.
  12. Don Williams has announced he's retiring after hip replacement surgery. I remember listening to him in the 70s via my grandmother's records. Sad I never made time to catch him in person. A class act all around. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/don-williams-says-hes-retiring-20160301 One of my favorites...
  13. If they made a "Skate or Die 2017", I'd be in for a copy.
  14. Fucking love The Go-Go's, was my favorite band for many years, just wish they had gotten their (Belinda's) shit together and done more than 4 albums. The Blasters, X, Black Flag, Fear, Catholic Discipline,The Bags, I ate all that up with a spoon. I didn't really get the Germs until this last decade, guess I let that shitty performance by Darby Crash on Decline get to me and I filed them under 'suck'.
  15. Curt McGirt's vitriol towards Anthrax reminded me of John Bush, whose talent was wasted in Anthrax. I'm big on the SoCal music scene, from many eras, so here's a spree... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkUkYyo2EsU One more 'cuz I love this band... These guys ruled the LA punk scene in the mid 70s-early 80s... I've already posted some Merle, so here's the king of the Bakersfield Sound... Fuck it, here's more Merle...(Sorry I couldn't find a better version, but this is off the '72 album of the same name.)
  16. Yes, I thought of more... This was played quite often back in the day... And don't forget Satan...
  17. Sucks about Tony Philips. Way too young to go. Always a solid contributor to the winning teams he was on.
  18. Terrible rap album intros are the bane of my existence. There has never been a time I bought an album and wanted to hear something other than music when I turned it on. I remember one of my coworkers asked me to listen to her friend's mixtape, and not only did it have a useless album intro, he had an intro to every single song. Rap rule #956 if you feel like you have something to say but for some reason you can't put it in a song, odds are you don't need to say it. If only more people would learn from Big Daddy Kane.
  19. I so want to get this game. but I won't play it right away since I'm chipping away at PS3 backlog, but I'm on the look for a sale.
  20. More... Before this song was co-opted by people who never understood what the lyrics actually said or meant, this was a thing... The masters... I'm hooked on ellipsis tonight... The original story songwriter for me... I'll stop here, as I can't type through the tears...
  21. I flippped it back to CBS to see if Colbert had started yet and Ozzie Smith was carrying the Lombardi trophy. What's up with that?
  22. Seeing Papa John give Manning a kiss at the end made my night.
