Pete
Saw that the EPL is offering a head to head option for their fauntasy league this season and thought I'd let y'all decide how we should do things this time around. Thoughts?
Guest The Magnificent 7
Head to head, but only if there is a draft or auction of some sort (doubtful). Basically fantasy futbol sucks because there's 20 Rooney's instead of just one. It's taking a long time for the English to figure out something us Americans did ages ago when it comes to fantasy leagues.
odessasteps
I prefer the EPL style, personally, unless youre doing a live auction.
AxB
Can't we just do both?
Johnny Skins
If we are doing the standard salary cap, it should be the standard scoring.
cubbymark
So standard is the EPL equivalent of a rotisserie baseball league if I am reading this correctly, no? I've never played fantasy EPL but I wouldn't mind embarrassing myself this year to figure it out in either format.
odessasteps
The standard futbol fantasy league is done where you have £100m and buy a roster. The difference from us fantasy sports is that everyone coyld have the same players.
Super Ape
I recall the Euro fantasy league having both a standard and H2H format going on at the same time. Is that out of the realm of possibility for fantasy EPL?
Fat Spanish Waiter
I want a draft.
Pete
Not sure there's an EPL league that lets you draft folks like that. Feel free to link one that does...
AxB
The fantasy.premierleague.com site is already accepting teams for next season. Should I just renew the league again for this year?
Pete
The fantasy.premierleague.com site is already accepting teams for next season. Should I just renew the league again for this year? We could run dueling leagues maybe like you suggested earlier? Say, I start the standard league and you start the head-to-head?
AxB
Well, if I renew last year's league, that'll be a standard league, but then you can start the head to head... actually I don't think it stops anyone from setting up multiple leagues themselves anyway. Not that that matters. I'll renew last year's league tomorrow or Thursday.
throughsilver
I was on another board that had two different types of leagues, a couple of seasons ago. It was fine.
AxB
Last years league returns! If you played last year, create a team and you should be entered automatically. If not, it's 810175-193689 at fantasy.premierleague.com

Super Ape
Also, I'm no good at strategizing for fantasy soccer. Anyone have any solid resources for research and strategy I can do in the next two weeks, or am I better off just reading up on summer transfers and BBC articles? throughsilver
I'd suggest learning the hard way, like us Form, squad condition and fixtures (plus home vs away) are the main things.
Dewar
16 in classic, 10 in head-to-head so far. Sign up before the season starts Saturday morning!!!!
Pete
I swallowed my pride and broke my no-Rag policy to land RVP. So naturally you can expect him to have an off-year...
