Diego Pavia, Professional Hugh Freeze Hunter.

That’s the thing: Pavia didn’t even play that well! He was like 9 for 22 passing, 26 yards rushing.

Vandy just HANDLED Auburn in all phases. That was wilder than if it had been Diego playing hero ball.

Damn. Florida has opened up well vs. Georgia, but now DJ Lagway is down with a leg injury. Looks bad. Gators now down to QB3.

I know everyone stopped paying attention but UNC is beating the stuffing out of FSU

Do the Seminoles even have anymore recruits who can decommit?

Navy at Rice is still in a weather delay due to storms in Houston

Supposedly the game will start at 6:30 EST but who the fuck knows

Michigan State has bloodied Indiana's nose. Time to see if they can handle adversity and fight back.

Well. They are handling adversity well.

I might keep one eye on A&M @ South Carolina later. I talked a bit last week about some Top 25 teams that I thought were benefitting greatly from imbalanced schedules, and I think A&M might be one of those teams. I think they caught LSU with a QB change that the Tigers didn’t have an answer for and stole a big win.

SC is not a good team, but they’re surly and scrappy and it’s on the road and it’s a night game…If A&M is gonna a stumble before the Texas game, this is 100% where it would happen.

Oregon with a "the game is over but let's cover the spread" touchdown for the degenerate gamblers to love or hate.

Michigan played better than I expected them to especially without their top two corners. That fourth down play call on their last meaningful drive was mind bogglingly stupid though.

(And that terrible call on Oregon's first touchdown meant the game wasn't as close as it probably should've been late, but such is life.)

And Texas Tech does down the field and down goes one undefeated team.    Given how crazy the Big 12 is, I wouldn't be surprised if BYU joins them quickly

So far the bubble is ready to burst for PITT.  although to be fair being down 18 is where they like it so far.  Okay maybe 25 is a point too much even for them

Well the game did start but around 9 EST.   Only an hour away from being the longest delay in college football history

I don't know if America would be ready for a BYU vs Colorado Big 12 Championship Game but I am all for it

This has been the week so far we find out who is and isn't on that level.  So far tonight Clemson isn't, and Tennessee isn't, and maybe Texas A&M isn't although they are fighting hard

Mike Elko seems to really want to lose this game, going for it on 4th deep in A&M’s side of the field twice (and failing, and subsequently yielding a combined 10 points to SC’s upset bid).

Also, the Nebraska bowl drought might not end this year after all. They lost, at home, to UCLA and they have at USC, vs. Wisconsin, and at Iowa left. They certainly could win any one of those, but none feel like a gimme.

They are poorly coached. The 3rd and 4th down calls were both terrible, 4th down especially so. But it's not just that, it's everything.

I'll be shocked if there's not a fairly serious staff shake-up after the season. Particularly, it's really damn hard to imagine Kirk Campbell being back as OC and QB coach, and I expect at least a few other positions coaches to get fired. Maybe Wink at DC as well, we'll see on that. The defense has underachieved, and some of his blitz calls have been baffling, but they've also been put in a lot of bad spots by the offense, and spent a lot of time on the field that's probably dragging down their production.

I can't imagine Moore getting fired this year, but it's definitely time to step back and reevaluate the staff. And then also hopefully improve the talent level both in recruiting (which, hey, Michigan is improbably on a massive hot streak recruiting the last two or three weeks even as the season spirals away) and in the portal.

Both Clemson (fans throwing bottles on the field after a weird/bad call) and USC (fans charging the field after win) are gonna get some nasty fines this week.
