The Natural
8) THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS 1991 - 1362 Points - 22 Votes (Highest Vote: #1 Newb82 & Kyle Casey) This was the film I was referring to when I wrote about Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Still a fan as it placed #7 on my ballot and it deserved to win the big five Academy Awards. 7) RESERVOIR DOGS 1992 - 1476 Points - 20 Votes (Highest Vote: #4 Execproducer) At the last minute this missed out on my top ten, #11. RIPPA
6) THE BIG LEBOWSKI 1998 - 1476 Points - 20 Votes (Highest Vote: #1 Control, Caley & EricR) DIRECTOR: Coen Brothers STARRING: Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore Placement On Original List: #10 (16 Votes) IMDB ROTTEN TOMATOES (80%) WIKI NOTE FROM RIPPA - And that was the tie I had to break. Thankfully, it wasn't between two movies that got first place votes because I might have changed the tiebreaker.

J.T.
Well, you can't blame me if Shawshank places high. My #1 film was Schindler's List.
The Natural
Surprised at the dislike for Shawshank. I don't think it shall come top either.
Death From Above
It's just jae being weird to try and make up for the nice things he does elsewhere.
J.T.
don't dislike Shawshank, but I do wonder why its reception is so overwhelmingly positive..... until you mention that it is based on a Stephen King novella. It really does suffer from Stephen King's rather hamfisted enforcement of his personal feelings of morality and social justice. The Warden is definitely one of King's worst antagonists. So cartoonish in his evil and woefully inept. The guy is definitely no Randall Flagg, Arnie Cunningham, or Margaret White.
RIPPA
To be fair - it's jae AND Fowler. I'm eating now so give me a little bit a time.

I'd say for the story, the performances, the tale of hope and how it gradually became a hit.

Niners Fan in CT
I will be happy with #1 only if it's something other than Shawshank. Of course, I only have myself to blame for not submitting a ballot.
