I'm not even a big Star Wars fan but I would watch ANYthing with THAT cast in it.

Grabbed two stone classics (as if I haven't asked for enough albums for Xmas and just had a birthday) ...and I just found out that Nuclear War Now! Productions (my old net buddy Yosuke's label) are re-releasing THIS stone classic. Highest recommendations

Better yet! Give them a large cardboard box and a marker. They can do all kinds of crazy shit with that... -
You're lucky I have balls heh heh. There were some pictures associated with finding this on Youtube that I quickly turned my eyes away from

I don't think I've ever seen that one and yeah, it's great -
Taker: "So Spike, I saw you in that movie saying you love taking bumps..." *pulls on gloves*

2018 WRESTLING MERCHANDISE TOPIC

Probably the first good shirt he's ever had -
Yeah, great name for a goregrind band. Even if it is close to Carcass' "Genital Grinder" (or maybe because of that).

WRESTLING ON THE INTERNET NOT FROM THE NOW
Curt McGirt replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I swear I've seen Curry/Valentine before but it's still awesome. Crying shame we don't have more Valentine. Curry was just as good -- and reminds me immediately of Ethel in Friday the 13th - A New Beginning saying "That is one fuckin' ugly man that goes there" hahaha. Johnny was lucky the cops were there as escort because I'm sure that crowd was more than willing to tear him to pieces. -
Somebody send that to Maffew, stat!

DECEMBER 2018 WRESTLING DISCUSSION
Curt McGirt replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Them being "starved for content" when they own most of the wrestling libraries in the entire world is laughable. -
Speaking of drug commercials, has anyone caught the one asking for people to call in for a lawsuit based on diabetic med users getting -- get this -- GENITAL GANGRENE?!?! Holy shit.

I know I've related this here before but Family Video (not the chain) in Marion, IL where I grew up also had its own backroom horror section with posters all over the walls. There was also Krenz Video, Broadway Video (which was enormous), Circus Video, and of course Blockbuster which actually came really late in the game. Plus the gas stations and even Kroger had a whole middle enclosure with rentals. It was heavenly. My parents would leave me and I'd just wander the aisles for hours. The place I was referring to above was Rentertainment in Champaign, IL and was even better because it's a college town and they had a full library of foreign titles separated by country along with classics, horror, sci-fi, etc. It had everything -- and I mean EVERYTHING. They finally went belly up which was one sad day. The only video store left in town? Family Video. They have exactly one wall of "classics" and everything else is from the last year or two. -
They could have made a deal. I was thinking maybe Anguirus too but he's spikier than that thing looked.

I woulda lost my shit for them throwing in some Fabio Frizzi. Zombi 2 is probably my favorite Italian horror soundtrack of all time.

Now THAT is some CGI I can get behind. I marked as soon as I saw Rodan's shadow. So we get: - Zilly (as my mom calls him) - Rodan - King Ghidorah - Mothra - and did I see Gamera?
-
Wait, what? Does that mean they're gonna put it back together again sometime? Personally I always thought of it as Hellraiser in space, from the turn it takes at the end. And what's funnier is they actually made a Hellraiser in space around that same time.

This just popped up in my Youtube feed. Sick. And speaking of sick, somebody finally got me to listen to Del tha Funkee Homosapien and Dan the Automator:

A friend of mine got me Singles for Xmas one year; I listened to it nonstop. Also, they are noted for playing the first recorded D-beat on a record (can't remember the song though, I think it's off Spiral Scratch though). "Harmony" was gonna be my pick, love that song so much. RIP EDIT: Found it

Hardware is indeed awesome and that song is too. The robot still freaks me out looking at it again. Thanks for reminding me that I've still never seen Dust Devil even though I rented it more than once though... -

It's my favorite of the trilogy, though I admit I don't remember the first one well. Il Boss has a sick beginning and end. Unfortunately I never watched the other set when I had the chance to rent them at a now defunct rental shop. -
Paths of Glory (which I have never seen) was just on and I caught the end... devastating. When all the soldiers went silent, then started humming, then started CRYING, I just lost it. Coincidentally it was John Landis' celebrity pick and he had a hilarious story about Kirk Douglas. Kirk quit First Blood when they changed the ending, so when John hired him for a movie with Sly Stallone, Sly was like "he wants to hit me!" There was a scene with Kirk slapping him on his deathbed, and sure enough when the time came he first faked one, then pasted Sly on the second. John said he hit him so hard there was a handprint embedded on his face haha

...and besides getting the Kino Lorber catalogue A DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY AND ON THE DAY I GET PAID (argh), I finished watching The Italian Connection again, which was fabulous. Mario Adorf looks like such an oaf but turns out to be a total badass -- even more of a badass than both Henry Silva AND Woody Strode. Pulp Fiction ripped off this movie, that's how cool it is.
