  1. The Wall Street Journal had a photo of one of the other ladies that got busted next to one of Laughlin. The other lady looks STRESSED. Laughlin, instead is SMILING FOR THE CAMERA. And her husband who's standing behind her? The dude Mossimo who runs Mossimo, the clothing brand. They must be rich as fuck and they STILL pulled this shit?!
  2. THE DEMON, you say? Shit, at least then we'd get fake blood and pyro. But Gene Simmons would get paid so it all cancels itself out
  3. The Rogerebert.com review I read today along with the rest of the usual pile was really good for it and similar to what you describe, you might want to read it. https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/the-man-who-killed-don-quixote-2019 They also made me verify that I am absolutely positively going to go see High Life. https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/high-life-2019 Meanwhile, you can go to the horror thread to see what I think about their reviewer's thoughts on the OG Pet Sematery
  4. Watched the first episode of The Dark Side of the Ring on Viceland. A couple things: 1. I really don't like seeing a couple people having a big focus on here that I disdain, namely Bischoff and Prichard. Then again I also don't like Vice much after the Desus and Mero fallout and finding out that the founder of the Proud Boys was also one of Vice's founders and got bought out by the other two owners, but there you go. 2. Wow this was a bummer. I forgot all about how Liz went, while remembering all too well about how Randy went. That makes me feel even worse about myself (and BTW they have the 911 call Luger made for Liz so be forewarned). As far as how it's done, they got the footage, they detail the storylines, Hall and Jake do commentary as well which comes off best (Hall making the call for Liz to be HOF is righteous), and the "fake" footage is well done. Your mileage is just gonna vary as to how depressed you might feel about a specific topic on this show. EDIT: One more thing, Fuck Hulk Hogan is not going to be on this show. Linda is, but not him.
  5. God, that look over Owen's shoulder directly into the camera. I'm feeling icicles form on my neck just thinking about it.
  6. You know what, I thought he looked even creepier when he was younger, with the weird short haircut (IIRC) and white shirt. I've only seen a couple of pics but he looked like an escaped mental patient. Later on with the long hair and missing teeth he just looked like any other dirtbag. Then again, I haven't seen him right before the very end...
  7. From Peter Sobczynski's review of Pet Sematery on Rogerebert.com: ...what an asshole.
  8. I wasn't about to haha. There are a few great sites I've found through here: Daily Grindhouse, Oh, The Horror!, Movie Feast (RIP), Segunda and some other blogs.
  9. I gotta knock out all that Johnny Valentine tomorrow. Barnett/Suzuki is still a favorite ever since I stayed up and watched the DREAM card it was on. Barnett really needs to do more pro work if he stays healthy.
  10. Digging Fosse/Verdon. I've never been much of a Sam Rockwell fan but he's great in this. I've never been much of a musical fan either (as the musical thread attests) but I read up about Bob Fosse's life, found out he directed fucking Star 80, and realized I had to see this. Oh, and Michelle Williams was on Colbert tonight and wow does she look totally different than in this
  11. That sounds very familiar. I turned off sigs for everyone on here ages ago though, so I don't see people's sites anymore unless they pimp them on here or I have them saved. Nothing in the bookmarks looks like it so perhaps I had it saved once upon a time on an old laptop.
  12. You gotta love how his profile pic gives off such a crazy before-and-after effect. I dont think there's another wrestler -- besides maybe Sabu -- who looks as worse for wear over the years.
  13. Now I wonder if Raven got the Orton treatment. Totally can't see him as a Marine. I would so buy that record just for "Sunrise" (which, incidentally, I transcribed to guitar as an intro for one of my former bands).
  14. This is pretty much my identical feeling, only Bret vs. Michaels in the Iron Man match was the match. There was never a moment when I felt "smartened up" or whatnot, that must have just came with time, but that match was a turning point. I haven't seen it in years and years -- it wasn't even on his DVD collection, probably out of enmity to Shawn, and deservedly -- but that one showed me a wrestling match could show a story, in depth and long form, and that it could be important emotionally. Bret isn't my favorite wrestler anymore. I can't say that when Stan fucking Hansen is standing right there, or Toshiaki Kawada. But he's the first wrestler that introduced me to the art of wrestling, and for that I'll forever be indebted to him.
  15. Rocky Horror And you should all be ashamed, considering I otherwise despise musicals.
  16. Wait what? I am going to need video evidence of this.
  17. Of course I missed Final Exam, and can't find it online either *curses and kicks furniture*
  18. Had to look that up and am deeply disappointed in myself
  19. Love Hildebrandt's reaction on the Eddie impact
  20. I hope he knows when and where to put out the cigarette
  21. Apparently not. I had to look that up because I never drink the swill. Some other smartass said it's "because it's pretending to be a better beer than it is" hahaha EDIT: And for the record I don't like it because it's swill, I don't like it because it's overpriced swill. When I was drinking beer all the time I was almost strictly Beast Ice and Mickey's, so I clearly have no taste. If I'm gonna pay Corona prices I'll at least grab a Newcastle (and if I'm going Mexican it'll be Dos Ambar)
  22. Even if we don't get a master 'must see' list, this thread is what I'm using to keep a general idea, so please keep us informed as to what's hot and what's not this weekend. Hell, if anybody wants to write road reports, that would rule too!
  23. Woof. I just turned on ROH and they're at Sam's Town in Vegas and there is NO ONE there. It's like three rows of people. I bet Impact is doing better right now.
