Eivion Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Seven didn't do much for me during the UK tournament, but I'm excited if only for more of Bate.
The Z Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Trent Seven is awesome. He had mediocre opponents in the UK tournament. 1
BurningBeard Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 yeah Trent is the guy I was rooting for in the tournament. You've not seen the best he's got to offer yet believe me
Eivion Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I thought Wolfgang was a good bit beyond mediocre. He looked way better than Seven. If your saying Seven is even better than that then I'm a little annoyed as it means he went lazy during one of the biggest moments of his career.
MORELOCK Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Why hate on Seven for his unremarkable ring work when you could hate on him for his stupid name or his "I have a mustache" gimmick? 1
Buy Me a Burrito Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Has anyone told Seven that it's an upper body business? Because he looks almost as squishy around the middle as I do.
Ryback Hates Bullies Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 If anything, he did lose weight for the tourney. The Trent Seven name is a Midlands thing (Severn Trent). His gimmick is clearly "hipster who fetishes Strong Style a bit too much" - so in a sense the belly works, just not in WWE.

RIPPA Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 I am not sure you posted that to mock or to stare at Jeri Ryan's butt

They want to do a UK show but they haven't got all the logistics down (honestly - I doubt they will figure it out pre-Mania) for it yet so it seems that the UK belt will be defended from time to time on NXT
Eivion Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Bate/Seven was damn good and went a long way in redeeming Seven's average performance in the UK Tittle tournament.
JonnyLaw Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 If Seven and Shinsuke ever meet up, it could end up being a better comedy match than the famed Santino/Emma vs Fandango/Summer match. Schtick for days.
turk128 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I love it when NXT throws in a surprise PPV quality match, it's among the the reasons why NXT was so captivating at the height of it's rise.
Lawful Metal Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 That Bate / Seven match was awesome! Really redeemed Trent Seven because he really didn't stand out as much in the U.K. Tournament. I still want Pete Dunne and Mark Andrews to show up. And maybe Wolfgang too.
quackhell Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Didn't they announce Dunne vs Andrews for next week, or did I dream that up?

The Z Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 It is happening next week. They even put up this wwe.com exclusive video plugging the match: 3

Phantom Lord Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I really like Tyler Bate. He reminds me so much of a young Bob Backlund. I wasn't expecting much from the match with Trent (because I know nothing about British wrestling) but wow I was blown away by both of them by the end. Still can't believe he's only 19.
Ramsey Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 The UK title match was indeed great. With that said, the women's division went from AMAZING to "we recycle the same four women and then Asuka." I realize the Horsewomen all moved up but sweet jeebus am I tired of the Aussie Mean Girls, "other Carmella," and Ember Moon. They have other women on the roster but keep dishing up mix and match of the same four over and over.
Godfrey Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Nikki Cross adds some nice variation to that. Hopefully, she'll get a singles feud with Asuka soon. The matches have a lot of potential to be great. 2
Nice Guy Eddie Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I want to see more of Mandy Rose. Not just for her looks, but I really do think she gets it. She looked like she belonged during her match with Asuka at the Asbury Park show. I think she can be the next Trish Stratus/Alexa Bliss type, while not great in the ring, not downright embarrassing either. 1
JCM Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I definitely agree about Mandy. The few times I've seen her wrestle she looked athletic and had decent looking offense. NXT needs more prospects on tv imo. I want to see a Heavy Machinery push as well.
