Gerard Jones has flipped his kiddie porn charges to guilty and will apparently get a reduced sentence as he's been attending therapy for it.

That said, reading the descriptions of what he got hit for and some stuff they can prove past that is genuinely horrifying and goes into that realm where I won't be mourning his death whenever it comes. I don't think too highly of the folks who wrote letters speaking to his good character either, Mike Barr being the one that sucks for me personally.

He wrote a Prime story where Kevin was having to hitchhike and was nearly raped by a pedophile. So in hindsight I am not surprised.

I was hoping it was not true and the story does seem preposterous on the face of it. I am sure his real life friends think he is innocent for this reason.

Honestly, I could have maybe bought that it was a mistake until I read what all the evidence was. I didn't post it because, frankly, it's horrifying. I do have some sympathy for the cognitive dissonance with his friends. I don't know how I'd handle it finding out a buddy of mine flipped pictures of sex acts on infants.

It's amusing to me that CBR has basically become an online version of the Apter Mags. They spend a week just telling you what happened in the comics that came out the previous week but with a clickbait title.

Congrats to Marjorie Liu, the first woman to win the Best Writer Eisner. (albeit a tie with Tom King)

Also looking at the first ten years of the Eisners this award basically started as the Alan Moore or Neil Gaiman Award for being Alan Moore or Neil Gaiman. Damn.

EDIT: Out of 31 winners, Alan Moore is nine of them. Gaiman and BKV four each. Brubaker three. That's over half the field in four writers. Damn.

If I am reading social media correctly, it appears former Milestone exec and creator Michael Davis passed away.

The good news is that he is still alive. The bad news is that he was hacked and some asshole was the one spreading news of his death.'

Well, I'm really glad he's not dead. Obviously, fuck that hacker, but it's still the better end result.

For those who didn't hear, Ernie Colon died yesterday at the age of 88. To say he had a long and storied career is putting it mildly

I am obviously not privy to his personal details, but given that he was tweeting random shit on Monday and his colleagues seem as shocked as his fans, this feels really sudden and it sucks. He was such a good writer, and so many of his peers have held him up as one of the greats literally as long as I've known what TCJ is.  RIP, Tom, I'm smarter because I read your work and I hope your family can find some peace.
