DreamBroken Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Sad to see Carla lose her last fight when seemed everyone thought she won, a good one though and Tecia's always been a tough fight. Loved the video tribute. Even more disappointed though to see Raquel lose as I thought she had it, really wanted to see her go on a run as underdog champ and keep her win streak going instead of going back to Pena wanting to go back to Nunes. Raquel's killer shot in the 4th had me ready to jump out of my seat. Another epic performance from Pereira, absolute mauling in the 4th just kept getting more and more brutal. 1
The Natural Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Fighter of the Year is between Alex Pereira and the winner of Ilia Topuria vs. Max Holloway especially if there's a finish. 1

A.M.B. Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 (edited) Really wish Taira got the nod in the main event, would have made flyweight way more interesting to have him and possibly Asakura at the top with some Japanese talent finally getting some title relevance. I like Royval but he’s just kind of another guy to me and flyweight needs better stars. Edited October 13, 2024 by A.M.B. 1

DreamBroken Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Hyped for Cyborg/Pacheco on PFL. Always love Cyborg fights, but also been loving Larissa's epic 10 fight streak since being the one to beat Kayla Harrison. Going decision but could easily see an early KO from either side. 1
waffle Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Great win for Cyborg. 39, and still winning championships. Strikeforce, Invicta, UFC, Bellator, PFL. Wild. 2
waffle Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Francis is now the lineal IFL, EliteXC, WAMMA, DREAM, YAMMA Pit Fighting, PRIDE, UFC 1, UFC , Strikeforce & Bellator champion. 2
jaedmc Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Fluffy Hernandez absolutely mauled Michel Pereira. Psychotic level of tenacity. I rarely ever want to see Sean Strickland fight, but Fluffy vs. Strickland sounds like a good battle of wills. 1

Plus KOTC, WEC (HW & SuperHW), Rizin (never had an official HW champ, but the HWGP ties in here), World Series of Fighting, Jungle Fight, and Battlecade/Extreme Fighting. And the RING King of Kings tournament winners all add to the legacy as well. I don't know if International Fighting Championship ever had official titles, but the first tournament was won by Igor Vovchanchyn, so add that to the list too. Plus the unofficial but amazing SAKU belt. but Cole Konrad never lost the 1st Bellator HW title (he retired), so that one at least deserves an asterisk. Elsalvajeloco Posted November 3, 2024 Author Posted November 3, 2024 I think the UFC commentary team may have inadvertently jinxed Marc-André Barriault. **Barriault gets into a wild brawl** "...This is where Barriault thrives..." **Barriault proceeds to run facefirst into a hard right hand that knocks him into another decade and then finished with a couple hard hammerfists**
Elsalvajeloco Posted November 3, 2024 Author Posted November 3, 2024 It looks like Rose trained for a three round fight, and Erin Blanchfield trained for a five round fight. Tale of two fights. 1
jaedmc Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Erin really came out in the fifth with some determination to not let this one slip away. Didn't seem concerned about whatever Rose was going to throw at her. Paid off. 1
DreamBroken Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Love seeing Erin bounce back from her last loss, great victory! Erin going for Alexa Grasso next kills me as that's my top two favs against each other but figured it would be inevitable. 1
jaedmc Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 Killer performance from Brandon Moreno. Aggressive, locked in, controlled the rhythm of the fight. Take down defense was on point. Flyweight division is poised for a pretty hot 2025. 1

Elsalvajeloco Posted November 10, 2024 Author Posted November 10, 2024 After watching the replay multiple, I am still not sure what hit Neil Magny (and to be fair, Magny probably doesn't either). However, whatever it was, it made Magny drop like a ton of bricks.
jaedmc Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 I think it was a left that skimmed off his head behind the ear, as he was ducking to his right. It looked like absolutely nothing. There are so many exciting fights for Prates. I do think he'll run into issues with the higher end grapplers. Magny's strategy was fairly effective, and it wasn't the first time we'd seen that on Prates. Thankfully there's multiple striking match ups that UFC can sell. Also Fighting Nerds are taking over. 1
