2023-24 NCAAF - GOIN' BOWLING!

And the four team playoff era ends how it began. A Big Ten Midwest team beat Alabama by seven and then hammered a PAC-12 team from the Pacific Northwest.

That's kinda weird. Especially because those are the only two titles for the Big Ten and only two trips to the finals for the PAC-12.

Not exactly the smoothest victory for Michigan but 60 minutes of never being in danger is certainly something I'll take. What a year!

Another weird stat: Michigan's offense only committed five turnovers all season. One against Purdue, one against UNLV, and three against Bowling Green.

That's pretty incredible.

It being that low is incredible. It being those three teams is just bizarre.

Edit: And of course they did have at least two special teams turnovers on punts. The one against Bama obviously and, yet again, Bowling Green.

Last week when Michigan beat Alabama they inched just barely ahead of the Tide for the second best winning percentage in the history of college football.

With the win tonight they inched to just slightly behind Ohio State, by about .002%, for the best winning percentage in college football history.

(Both Alabama and Ohio State [and maybe Notre Dame] would still be slightly ahead of Michigan if not for vacated and forfeited wins, so this is kinda a hollow victory. But tis is the week to celebrate the Wolverines bay bay.)

Given the state of takes in sports, I fully expect the same people that marveled in Penix last week are going to call him over rated and a fraud.  He was playing most of that 2nd half beaten up and maybe injured.   That last INT wasn't a good throw but when you are 4th down you have to do something

Jim Harbaugh is a total jock dunce who doesn’t know what day it is half the time but he’s a dang good coach. Also he deserves it because he was a good player who didn’t get some breaks. I’d go as far as to say that he was the 2nd funnest guy to watch after Favre for those 2 years he was the guaranteed starter.

Most watched game of the season: Michigan vs Alabama, Rose Bowl (most watched game since Alabama vs Georgia 2018)

Second most watched game of the season: Michigan vs Washington, National Championship Game (most watched title game since LSU vs Clemson 2020)

Third most watched game: Michigan vs Ohio State (most watched regular season game since LSU vs Alabama in 2011)
