I tried to explain this US MNT loss to someone I work with yesterday who also happens to be an Alabama grad. I cannot stop myself from taking digs at Alabama. I said, "it would be the equivalent to those times that Alabama lost to Northern Illinois or La Tech."

I sadly see the logic on WWE booking Owens to lose last night. In their minds, why would your US and (maybe) your second most prestigious champion at the moment be challenging for a lesser title next month in Brooklyn? I can see Vince going: "Dammit, that's the developmental title. It might as well be the ECW or Hardcore Title!" With that said. I thought last night was fun if you did not put a lot of thought into it. PTP/New Day was easily the match of the night, as they worked the tag formula perfectly with D-Young even making for a compelling Face in Peril. I thought Cena/Owens was the worst match of the night, honestly. The finish doesn't bother me as much as it does everyone else. I expected it. The match just had no flow, story, or even reasoning outside of "this is the greatest hits of our other two matches." Maybe, this ends with Cesaro challenging for the title tonight and winning his rubber match with Cena.

I thought Gage tweeted today that it got tech noms. Also, I wouldn't put it in best series or any acting considerations. Tech awards are the only thing I'd consider it for. The show was good, but it's by no means great prestige television. I hate to rain on parades with that.

I got it. Played a little last night. Wasn't very impressed. The commentary is off at times and the animations and cut scenes aren't always the smoothest. Plus only eight courses, nine if you preordered it. What I want in a golf game is to play a realistic career. Give me the four majors, the wgc events, about 20 additional events and let me play my career. Let me sign my own sponsorship deals, let me play my way onto the Ryder Cup team and into the season ending tournament. Don't let me influence the spin of the ball while it's in the air. And the create a character isn't deep at all. Just a handful of generic faces. I never picked up or played any of the Tiger Woods ones that had Augusta in them. With this releasing, I've been debating just doing that.

The one thing I tried to buy was claimed within like a minute, so I have not been terribly excited by this thus far.

I purchased Ex Machina yesterday at Best Buy. I am pretty excited to check that one out. Also, I checked out Slow West on Sunday. I definitely recommend that everyone see that film for end of the year 2015 consideration.

I watched the Mr. Robot pilot. It's definitely one of the more interesting "modern hacking scheme" films/shows I have seen, so I will give it a few episodes to see where it goes. I cannot get past how much the lead looks like a bug-eyed Carson Daly. Also, this show balances between very Libertarian and bizarrely liberal. I really hate being cognizant of both intended and unintended political messages in mediums of film. The unintended ones are always more amusing to me.

I finally fired up Rocket League last night. I am happy I stopped myself after about 30 minutes of playing. Otherwise, I would not have gotten any sleep.

I hate that I missed the sale on the FFX/X-2 remaster. I am really hoping for a good Witcher 3 sale today.

I was on the phone during the triple threat portion of the match, but once that broke down into Cesaro vs. Rusev. Wow, that was an awesome bit of pro wrestling with both guys really coming off like big babyfaces. It was odd booking with Cena sitting outside playing the role of the heel and waiting to pounce on the worn down flesh that awaited him after that war. I've said this for about a year now, but I am all in on Rusev. I am amused by his promos. He plays his character perfectly and is a damn fine hand for a guy that has only been doing this for a couple of years. Also, he is coming off like a complete babyface in this Ziggler feud.

Many a bar in America still gets a lot of mileage out of a drunken round of Golden Tee.

While all of you are finishing Arkham Knight, I am finally picking back up my copy of Arkham City. A few quick notes. 1) Riddler Trophies/Challenges and their giant time-wasting distractions in this are just annoying and dumb. Granted, I just suck at things that have a short timer and complicated controls. 2) Smoke Pellets in predator mode are amazing. Once I whittle my bad guys with guns down to two, I can throw it at one, glide kick and ground take down the other and then sprint to wipe out the still blind henchman. 3) With that said, I groan when I move in on a section of the city with guns because I honestly just want to drop down, clean house, and move on with my life. For those curious, I am at the Subway Terminal trying to take out Penguin's third jammer.

I have been watching wrestling since 1995, but I never had a chance to attend a show until this one. Keep in mind that not a lot came to Dothan for a few years. We had a WCW House show and maybe an ECW one in the late 90s, but my parents were not too keen on taking me to these. My big regret is I never went to one of those La Vela Nitros. You want to talk confusing. Let's talk about all of these non-MLS US leagues and which ones have hierarchy over the others.

With my backlog, this is why I do a few side missions as I come across them and mainly focus on main story stuff. The rare exceptions are RPGs where doing more additional stuff will be of benefit to you towards the end of the game. Even then, I never try to do EVERYTHING. I think the closest I have come is Arkham Asylum, and I could not tell you what my actual percentage there was. Just the guide I used said "while you're here, might as well grab this riddler trophy or solve this riddle."

Was this from the MCC version on Xbox One? If so, that's kind of cool that they styled the health and what not like the original version of the game.

To think I was going to skip the PSN games this month because I did not look up anything about them, but I can't wait to get home and download Rocket League now.

Meanwhile: Fifa Bans Chuck Blazer for Life

The opening sequence of Inglorious Basterds is probably the best bit of cinematography that Tarantino has ever incorporated in a movie. Plus, that opening shot with that score is pretty damned gorgeous.

I wasn't enamored with Atonement. I thought it was an okay film, but I do remember it being quite the visually arresting film.

I think Netflix doesn't want to become too reliant on picking up dead series. There was great critique about them doing that already.

It looked like a regular figure four to me, but the exposed knee was the outside knee as opposed to the knee taking the pressure from the hold. It's a very nit-picky thing, and honestly my issues with the match has more to do with the leg work not really negating Kushida's offense at all down the stretch.

Crazy. It could be, in a timeline that Shibata/Sakuraba and Okada/Styles didn't exist. I would go Shibata/Sakuraba for MOTN. I was not even that enamored with Okada/Styles. I plan on watching that one back to make sure it wasn't just sheer exhaustion by the time I got to watching it. KUSHIDA/Omega was just okay for me. The selling issues really hurt that match tremendously. Also, I am surprised people have not commented on Omega applying the figure four to the wrong leg.
