  1. Yeah, but if it's Qatari financing, it could still bring about a lot of changes and make that situation queasy. The US backed firm is a slightly better solution, but I know part of the issue is the supporters want American ownership out of there.
  2. Yeah, I'm really happy that United is starting to come back into prominence, but it sounds like the ownership change shenanigans could end up wrecking that. I'm bummed I haven't fit more PL into my schedule as I'd like to be a bigger Man U fan than the casual one I've been my whole life (one of the main things I want to do when I go to the UK finally is see a game at Old Trafford).
  3. Is anyone getting the MLS Season Pass? I kind of question this for an American league that needs to grow its audience and not be forgotten about. I want to be better about watching Atlanta this year.
  4. I'm actually debating whether to get the Pixel Remasters on Switch or on PS5. Probably makes more sense to have them on Switch, but trophies and stuff.
  5. I wonder if that adds pressure for ND to join the B1G/SEC/ACC bidding war to become a member.
  6. I'm almost caught up on watching this too. Got half way through the most recent episode last night. The highlight of it oddly has been Harrison Ford who makes his gruff personality charming in this.
  7. I need to pick it back up, but I snagged it over the holiday when it came with the first game as a digital download. Opening sequence is fun.
  8. I bought my Switch to play handheld when I travel and for breaks at work. I've brought it with me a couple of times, but I've played less than an hour total in handheld mode I would guess.
  9. I would kind of expect this at a State of Play. Not a Direct. I'm sure it's going to get the FFVII treatment to an extent.
  10. I think the only thing I need to claim out of it is Last Guardian. Other than that, have gotten most of those via purchases or free offers. (maybe not BO3, but that's not relevant anymore).
  11. I ran a hair under 44 miles for the month, which I'm happy with. I just need to make more time to get some weight training in as well as dialing in the diet to start seeing some fruits of my labor. Aiming to break 50 this month, which means by early march I will have hit 100 miles probably the earliest I ever have in a year.
  12. I'm guessing because it's a continuation of the Benoit blanc story. I think the academy considers existing IP even original to be adapted.
  13. Honestly, Nextlander is the only one I listen to consistently on a weekly basis. Giant Bomb definitely feels like it's trending towards an end. I did Fire Escape for a bit but fell off, and I've never engaged with Jeff's new one past an episode here and there.
  14. What an incredible drive to stay alive. Need some magic on defense.
  15. OH MY GOD! I feel for everyone in my house that heard me screaming at the top of my lungs when that ball came out. Let's GOOOOOOOOO!
  16. Super Bowl is on my Birthday this year, so the Dolphins making it would be an all time great present for me; however, that would require Tua to avoid giving himself further brain damage.
  17. ...and the roster revamp through the transfer portal might be going very unnoticed by many. I'm actually considering getting season tix next season, and I'm far from excited about Freeze, but it's definitely been a Freeze warning. Auburn is a minimum 7 win team next year with how the schedule shakes out.
  18. I'm all in on the Horned Frogs tonight. They don't stand a chance, but my hatred of Georgia is just that strong.
  19. I caved on the internal, but I price matched amazon at best buy and then used $15 in rewards points. $185 was a lot to spend on an HD, but I justified it given some other health choices I'm making for the month.
  20. I caved and picked up a Western Digital 2TB 850 drive for my PS5 yesterday. Being able to download and install at will was pretty nice. Install was pretty straight forward as well. Hopefully, I will not have to stress over deleting something for awhile to add something new.
  21. I'm attempting to pull off dry January for the month (Made it to day 5 so far) and be a lot more consistent about my exercise. Between depression and the pandemic, I went from never thinking I'd get over 200 lbs (hovering a little over an uncomfortable 190 lbs) to I'm consistently around the 225+ mark. I doubt I'll ever get down to a more comfortable 175ish, but I wouldn't mind dropping the bulk of my weight gain over the next few months. With my schedule, my challenges are the usual culprits. Consistency (I'm kind of pushing to get at minimum 10 miles in a week through running). Getting a healthy amount of weight training in while getting my body back into distance running shape until I can clear 26.2 off my bucket list and focus on weights. My living situation is different at the moment, so blending in diet while cohabitating is something I'm still learning to navigate.
  22. It may have just been my headspace last night, but I found last night to be a kind of there episode of Dynamite episode last night. Positives The crowd was incredible and elevated the episode in a lot of ways, and they deserve a lot of kudos for that. Ricky Starks is just a huge star in the making. I loved the showboat-style old school spot. I thought Hangman brought the appropriate amount of fire once he got face to face with Moxley. Max Caster's promo was just fantastic. The Britt/Hayter promo I thought was solid. It does kind of continue the trope of originals vs interlopers and you do wait the moment that Britt turns on Hayter (I'm guessing we're heading that way for Revolution). The early part of MJF/Danielson was really good The DVD onto the apron was a pretty gnarly if ill advised spot in Fox/Swerve. That was probably the right finish in Darby/Joe given the setting and the build and the post-match moment with Sting; however, I kind of prefer Darby in the weird special attraction gimmick tag match role he's been in over the last year or so. I'm just not completely sold on him. Negatives I found the closing few minutes of Jericho/Starks to be a bit clunky. I don't love the overlong submission selling spot. It has worked for me in the past, but it's extremely rare. (I am a low voter on HBK/Angle at Mania 21 for this reason and think their Vengeance match is the better of the two). The false finish with the bat spot is great for a live pop, but kind of doesn't work in that sequence for me. Overall, I wasn't into the in-ring work outside of popping for certain moments, which is fine because I think next week has potential to be an all-timer on paper. The MJF/Danielson promo ended up going too long and it lost its steam as a result. I think it was a sign of the biggest network interference from Warner as well because I think it was kind of pulling the WWE, talking segments always rate better than wrestling segments, schtick that we've heard forever, and I know some numbers will back that up. I was kind of indifferent to the Dusty-lite finish. The Acclaimed is the best organic act that Khan has developed in AEW, and I get there are some bells and whistles with that. I think they could use a little less chicanery in the finishes. Jade is a total star, but I'm not totally into the streak bit right now. I get they're protecting her, but I'm definitely ready to have that real WOW stretch with her. I know they're in a rock and a hard place in that they probably should unify both women's titles, but that's tough to do because Jade is definitely final boss tier with how she's been presented. I'm curious to see what 2023 looks like for her.
  23. One of my resolutions is to play more things to completion this year (I have so many games that I can't remember where I left off that I'm debating restarting them). Anyways, I started Trek to Yomi last night out of curiosity thanks to Gamepass. (Also, a quick search makes it seem like it's a pretty bite sized entry at around 6 hours). I finished the first chapter, and the game is absolutely gorgeous for what it is. The combat is fairly basic, but I'm by no means a great gamer, so I'll take a mild challenge. I'll probably piece through that over the next week or so while mixing other things in. I also checked out the Hot Wheels section of Forza Horizon 5. That opening mission is pretty fun to navigate. I can see Horizon 4 and 5 being two games I touch more this year than I have in the past. Just fun to do while being mindless.

    LIVE MUSIC 2022

I'm doing my first new year's run in awhile and splitting it up (Other New Year's related concerts I've attended was night 3 of 4 of Umphrey's on 12/30/18 and Widespread Panic on 12/31/16 in Nashville) by seeing Greensky Bluegrass tomorrow night at Tabernacle and then seeing a show by Truist Park at the Roxy for the first time. I'm hoping for a fun time in Atlanta and to be driving back to Alabama on Sunday with a ton of butthurt Georgia fans in my rear mirror.
  25. If you go to CDkeys, you can usually find 3 month ultimate passes for reasonable. For example, it's currently $27.19 for 3 months of it (so you save a little under $18).
