  1. The WWF/E video guys are the best editors in the world because they make the build up to Invasion look incredible.
  2. The kid in the white t-shirt at the front going crazy for that Bryan/Rollins spot is professional wrestling
  3. MACHINARIUM is a charming little game. Nothing too difficult but I really enjoyed the art style and soundtrack. Worth picking up for a few hours fun.
  4. Was Kurt's abstinence promo around that time? "Join me in Olympic Heros for Abstinence. The best sex is no sex."
  5. This is so great. It looks like Undertaker is the villain who has just killed one of the good guys half way through the movie.
  6. Matt Helders is an incredible drummer and I hope the new AM record gives him ample opportunity to show that off.
  7. He's one of the lucky ones a long with Curt Hawkins and Ted Jr. Those guys strike me as 3 that Vince has forgot he even has signed.
  8. You gotta think those guys have jumped over to EVOLVE and even WWE, as much as they wouldn't want to admit it. Does the super smart, technical loving fan even exist anymore?
  9. Is it a lesser known shirt? You want to convey your love of the band but you gotta think that people will turn their nose up at anything too obvious. I think you'll look beautiful, no matter what you're wearing.
  10. Your timeline is a little off here. The Nigel/Danielson match you're describing was from Unified which was part of ROH's United Kingdom debut and Nigel was the hometown hero. It was a pretty big match as it was the unification match for the World and Pure Titles. Also, the match occurred a year before the Benoit stuff. I remember on an ROH show in 04, maybe Nigel's first, he does the headbutting the ring post spot and it's really hard to watch. How long was that guy doing that spot on smaller indies and how often? Craziness. Oh wow. I don't recall that and I was pretty into ROH by '04. I only remember the aforementioned Unified spot. It's ridiculous, especially with how much more attention is paid to head trauma nowadays. Looking at OWW, I believe it's "The Battle Lines Are Drawn"
  11. I hope Bryan's customised plates just say "YES!"

  13. Wasn't the Val mini-push around the same time as Al Snow's mini-push heel turn based on all the jokes in Foley's book? I feel like there were some Val/Snow - Rock/Sock matches back then, and the crowd just wasn't buying it. There seemed to be a lot of guys the crowd just didn't buy getting briefly pushed into a high spot back then, continuing on into the early days of the brand split. Val, Snow, Billy Gunn, Bubba Ray. I think that is what made the initial Benoit/Jericho push so energizing. It seemed like one of the rare times back then where who the WWE was trying to move up the card completely coincided with who the crowd wanted to see move up. There was a renewed Val push in mid-2000 when he and Rikishi had the cage match at Summerslam and he ditched the pornstar gimmick. Was right before the RTC gimmick and I don't remember fans taking to it then, even with Trish at his side.
  14. If Styles does go to WWE, the feud with Darren Young is right there.
  15. There should be a ton of older Main Event/Superstars only guys who they bring in to flesh out the roster a bit. Ace Steel should be running around with a cowbell as Khali covers his ears for the noise. Chris Hamrick should be doing the Hamrick bump off a Heath Slater air guitar solo. They should reunite Too Cool and run a long feud with 3MB which ends with a Moog Synthesizer on a Pole match. They're not trying hard enough.
  16. It's still so awesome to me that Sandman had a good run in WWE. Them not making him GM was the missed opportunity of the millennium.
  17. It's going to be great when Hogan comes back for one final run and he's Co-GM with Brad Maddox. "I've booked a table for you and Brooke, brother!" then Brad's dickie bow twirls as he looks into the camera.
  18. It's been a long time since I watched HEROES (my viewing slipped after Season 2) and man, what a cool fucking premise Season 1 is and it's still pretty great viewing. I remember Season 2 slowing down considerably but just how off the rails does it get?
  19. Finally got around to listening to Primal Scream's More Light and man, it warms my heart that as a lot of British bands are stinking up the country, these drug-addled old bastards are still making incredible, ambitious music. These young punks need to get in line.
  20. Has Sami Callahan signed yet? I can't find anything definitive online.
  21. William Regal as insane KOTR and general manager of Raw was awesome for the 3 weeks it lasted. The pop when Kennedy beats him and he has to leave is huge which is directly because Regal was such a gigantic dickhead leading up to it. Him cutting off Cena/HHH right in the opening stretch is the high concept craziness that I support in the pro wrestling.
  22. UNITED! Or Man Utd, or Man United. Never Man U. I have to constantly remimd my wife of that. It's never United considering there's teams in the football pyramid that actually have been United from two clubs. It's my biggest footballing thing that shouldn't bother me but does, especially supporting a United. Follow Newcastle. You'll spend a month enjoying it when we start OK then get slowly more and more depressed as the club begins to implode from within again. I say, just watch a few games and highlight shows and stick with whoever takes your fancy. You have a luxury since you weren't raised to follow a side like this idiot. I enjoyed England/Scotland though I question the wisdom of a side that continually gets it wide when nobody on the pitch can cross a football.
