quackhell
I am going to have to tap out early on NYD but that Kushida/Cobb/Nagata vs Ishii, Goto, Ospreay was a good one to go out on all those guys brought it hard. Nagata is on fire.
Casey
G.O.D & Ishimori retain with the help of Chase Owens, so now Owens & Takahashi are back in the Bullet Club. Owens taking some little shots at The Elite while they're leaving ringside. "I wasn't running around making little YouTube videos, I was making business moves". Casey
I feel like Sabre-gun is going to happen tonight. Taichi trying to kill Naito out here.

Casey
Aww, no Sabre-gun tonight I guess. Just looks like they're setting up ZSJ & Suzuki to eventually challenge EVIL & SANADA, and obviously Taichi going after Naito for the IC title.
StretchMediatedHypertrophy
Jay White is the main gaijin project.
Casey
I'm buying that Jay White shirt, looks awesome.

In many ways, ZSJ doesn't really *need* the push. Jay White isn't going to work floating around the midcard. Zack's schtick is over and you can have him anywhere on a card and he's an asset. His time will come.
Casey
I feel like Jay White is going to eventually leave the Bullet Club one way or another, he doesn't feel like an act that needs to be aligned with a stable or have his own group. The ZSJ thing is a built in story, whenever they want to go there. I do agree that Jay White is the main gaijin, though. But I don't necessarily agree that just because of that, it means that Sabre-gun can't/won't happen.
sevendaughters
Is this a show I need to see? I watched the first two matches before running out to the football, seems like just basic 'this is who this guy fights next' stuff (which is fine, obv)Â
StretchMediatedHypertrophy
Suzuki-gun vs LIJ, KUSHIDA/Cobb/Nagata v Ospreay/Goto/Ishii, both worth checking out I think
Brian Fowler
Relatively uneventful for the Dash. Set up some matches and angles, but no holy shit moment like Omega turning on AJ, Suzuki-Gun returning, or Kenny saving Kota/starting the Cody vs Kenny split/White turning down the BC. Beech27
Yeah, fun show but awfully consequence free, and nothing even trivially surprising. The total lack of Omega makes me think this isn’t it for him, though.
Brian Fowler
That or the meeting today did not go well.
Beech27
That’s also possible. I’m just choosing to believe he’d be written off (or sent off) more explicitly.

The Natural
So no Elite at NYD. That's the big takeaway. Gedo picked Kazuchika Okada in 2012 to strap the rocket to and Okada backed that up big time. We'll see if Gedo was right for White. StretchMediatedHypertrophy
ZSJ is the best, pays off the warm beer stuff from the New Japan Cup by bringing his own cold G&T cans to the interview. Jenalysis
I'm thinking right now NJPW has set up a plan A if Kenny stays and a plan B if he leaves. Plan A is Omega wins NJC, White beats Tana, Omega is fed to White to legitimize him at MSG. Plan B is Taichi beats Naito, Naito wins NJC, Naito wins NJC and has a match with White at MSG. Either way I think White is beating Tana, but Taichi's fate depends on Omega.  I can't see them using a non main-event talent, or two Japanese wrestlers at MSG, and I can't see them going straight to a Tana/Omega, Tana/Okada, or Okada/White rematch either so soon.
