Curt McGirt
Curse of the Demon is on around 2:15 Central. If you haven't seen it before (or even if you have), highest recommendations All of Friday into Saturday is Peter Lorre Day with all that entails (M, Mad Love, The Comedy of Terrors, etc.). If you really wanna sleaze it up then check out Star 80 which is fittingly on around 3:15 AM Sunday.

(BP)
I saw Curse of the Demon was on and it reminded me that it’s still sitting in my dvr from the spring airing unwatched. Between Judy Garland day and Peter Lorre day I’m going to probably be maxed out on space by end of the week. I do have probably ten unwatched Raws that can gtfoh though.

Curt McGirt
Did a check of the Saturday morning sleaze block and they've got Motel Hell and Scarecrows playing back to back! Set those DVRs people
FluffSnackwell
Come for the scarecrows, stay for the cheesy over the top macho mercenary dialogue. "We're gonna burn you just like you burned us, motherfucker. You no good scum sucking double-crossing sonofabitch."
Curt McGirt
Shit, come for the gore. With the clean-up job they did versus the original VHS, now you can actually see it!
FluffSnackwell
Shit yeah. I got the Blu Ray as soon as it was released. Honestly though, the thrill had a lot more to do with being able to buy a new Blu Ray and not having to pay $30 bucks for an out-of-print DVD. Even when I watched the streaming version on Netflix, it wasn't cruddy enough to ruin those gore scenes.

J.T.
Aw. Plague of the Zombies comes on at 4:30 AM on Halloween morning. I'll be sad when I watch that since Jacqueline Piece passed away last week.
Curt McGirt
At least you have a DVR, I'm gonna have to retain sobriety until then. Plague is one of the ones I've never seen all the way through and missing it again is not an option.
odessasteps
Two Jean Renoir movies on late Sunday night, including Rules of the Game.
Curt McGirt
Looks like Macon County Line and Return to Macon County are the drive-in features early tomorrow morning. I had to look them up; apparently the former made the most money of any film in '74 (!) and the second is a sunnier production featuring Nick Nolte and Don Johnson. Curt McGirt
The horror is finally ramping up on TCM tonight with a whole pile of Christopher Lee films, starting with The Devil's Bride and then veering into historical drama territory with his Fu Manchu and Rasputin impersonations. odessasteps
I almost picked that Rasputin movie for my HH choice.
Curt McGirt
Must say, I'm surprised to read that The Devil's Bride was actually Christopher Lee's favorite of his old movies and one that he wanted to be remade with him playing the same role. He probably liked it so much because he was playing a hero for a change.
Curt McGirt
Paths of Glory (which I have never seen) was just on and I caught the end... devastating. When all the soldiers went silent, then started humming, then started CRYING, I just lost it. Coincidentally it was John Landis' celebrity pick and he had a hilarious story about Kirk Douglas. Kirk quit First Blood when they changed the ending, so when John hired him for a movie with Sly Stallone, Sly was like "he wants to hit me!" There was a scene with Kirk slapping him on his deathbed, and sure enough when the time came he first faked one, then pasted Sly on the second. John said he hit him so hard there was a handprint embedded on his face haha
