J.T.
You say that like sensible women would actually have one of those mother fuckers, Pete.
Matt D
I really loved the Mockingbird book for what it's worth.
Ryan
Looks like something I would support if it wasn't canned.
Eivion
Saw an article about this on BC today. Peoples' reaction to an obvious joke cover is pretty damn ridiculous.
Ryan
People's reaction to feminism in general is pretty damn ridiculous, so nothing too shocking there. Female writer writes female character, doesn't make cover of her just standing there naked surrounded by nerds, internet explodes into hate.
The Unholy Dragon
Yeah. This falls into 'predictably awful' and reminds me how scummy and gross a lot of comic fans are. The amout of racist, sexist garbage dudes (and let me be clear, it's almost exclusively straight white dudes) who have unhealthy attachments is a problem. Mockingbird was awesome. It's a shame it didn't find a bigger audience in time.
The Unholy Dragon
Mockingbird Vol. 1 is now Marvel's best selling trade. Vol. 2 has just been listed as 'My Feminist Agenda'. Amazing.
Pete
Which sadly ties into the MRA conspiracy theory that this was engineered to goose their sales.
Matt D
If they wanted to goose their sales, they'd do it on Inhumans.
