If it's a dweeb no-name for an announcer I'll be really annoyed. The NXT commentary team was my favorite bar none before CWC started. Graves going all Heenan-like with the right guy to play off of him was a joy to my ears. I'm hoping since that will be stopped that he goes all Heenan on Byron now. I'm really hoping for somebody worthwhile to replace him.

I'd say Bayley/Sasha by a wide margin. There was so much anticipation the actual main event was a relative afterthought. I'm excited for Joe/Nak, but it doesn't have the emotional investment that last year did. The rest are cool-ass matches that you just know were/are going to be fun to watch.

If anything, Bryan might have inadvertently helped the redemption story. Because he knows Kendrick so well and was unashamedly rooting for him it legitimized the idea of it being his one last shot. It was almost played up like it'd mean the end of his career if Brian didn't win the match. Maybe I'm reading too much into it (likely am) but the combination of the match/backstory plus Bryan on commentary sure as shit made me care a ton more than I originally would have.

I never pictured Ryan as being part of something like this. Yet he always came off to me like a peculiar fellow so I can't say I'm shocked by this. He struck me as the talented younger brother who's in way over his head.

Looking back that is awfully strange they never tried to get him. Damn, talk about missing out. But they should at least use him unless he gets signed right away. Last night was further proof that the common denominator between Mendoza and Neese looking like a million bucks is Brian Kendrick. I never noticed until those two matches how amazing he actually is. He has a quasi-redemption story, but it's more of "I'm getting old and desperate, so if I need to cheat then so be it." He actually might be my MVP of the tournament, the story he tells is magic. If they don't sign him as a wrestler, for chrissakes sign him as a trainer. He would be wonderful teaching PC students how to tell a story and make it count.

I liked the game when I played it last year. I was never a trading card game type of guy, so after a bit I just got rid of it. As much as I'd like to start it back up I just don't have the time for it.

The star rating was used in MyCareer. It wasn't bad, but I'm not sure if I want that in all matches. Can it be turned off? If not, what's the incentive for getting a 5 star match?

I dunno, man, he wasn't too bad in LU. He at least gave a shit knowing they'd use him in a way that works. It's just too bad he wanted to be a little bitch when it came to losing early in season 1.

Still wishing there's a way to automatically like anything Nakamura does. Now wishing the same can be done for #Gloriousbomb.

If you count Total Divas she did that when she was on. On the main shows she hasn't really gone heavy on the accent for some time.

I liked it anyway, but as amazing as that entrance is you can't say that with Nakamura doing his. Now THAT is the best entrance in wrestling. But even though EDM is largely fading in popularity Naomi stands out on that alone and will do great things with it. And Bryan and Shane are supposed to be good guys in this? If Heath didn't know where he was why not just say we'll wait until he has his wits about him? Instead they just take it away like total dicks. Poor, poor Heath.

Yes, yes it is worth checking out. They covered a lot of ground and really made you feel there is something special about the division. And for those thinking Steph would be infuriating, she really wasn't. She seems really genuine in her excitement for this. Hoping the positive trend continues because while it was fun at the time I don't want it to regress to mainly T&A.

I say WWE should try to sign the guy. Gold medal Olympic wrestler with charisma? Why the hell not?

I'm pretty optimistic about the changes they're working on. I liked Showcase just fine, yet have no problem with them ditching it to work on other areas. Not sure if I'm going to like or hate the rollout option for multi-man, but wonder if that logic applies if you're outside the ring. And thank goodness for good ol' button mashing submission system. With people like AJ confirmed now, I wonder at what point this starts sinking in that guys like him and Nak are in this. I feel the first couple days are going to be surreal for many of us once we start playing as them.

Not sure what bouts you saw, but there's definitely enough excitement to make it worth watching. Once it goes to medal rounds the added sense of urgency can make for cool moments. If anything give freestyle a shot if greco-roman isn't your thing. And tonight's USA vs. Brazil women's beach volleyball? There's going to be a lot of guys tuning into that I'm sure.

My wife is huge into sours and gose drinks, and I can appreciate a good one. Luckily, Union in Baltimore has Old Pro Gose that is outstanding. If you happen to get some of that it's a good one.

To borrow a common chant from indy wrestling events (Evolve uses it a lot) Me: GRECO ROMAN WRESTLING!!!!!!!! Crowd: YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!! I love this sport so damn much. This and freestyle are the ones I've been looking forward to this whole time, and so far it has not disappointed.

I like Shawn being there yet am really surprised they got him away from hunting for any length of time. If it's just while Terry's gone then I guess that's fine as long as he's back for winter hunting. Sara being on the MR could mean one step closer to somebody there going "Hey, you're a damn good wrestler and we need more on SD. Whaddya say?" At the same time, it is her job to be in that role and she does a damn good job at that. While it'd be a dick move to put her on SD 1. They were on separate shows anyway with her in NXT and 2. She can be a super-valuable asset helping the SD women.

Haven't seen the Ambrose episode yet, but Austin did an episode with Braun Strowman. Pretty good show, they discussed his time doing Wold's Strongest Man and workouts, then went into WWE talk. The guy seems like a pretty solid dude with the right frame of mind for the business. Definitely worth a listen.
