    Yeah the continued glorification of drug culture is what really annoys the fuck out of me. Well that and anyone referring to what she's participating in as "Hip-Hop". But then I am completely and unapologetically the guy who thinks Hip-Hop died after 1999, now excuse me while I go listen to some Brand Nubian and Pete Rock & CL Smooth records.     I honestly thought the swerve was gonna be the Aryans showing up to take care of him. Then he got all wigged out about his cigaretter pack and I said, "oh brother, they gave in to all the 'Jesse's gotta find out about Brock and/or Jane' speculation"...

    I gotta admit, the decision to revert back to whiny bitch Jesse Pinkman has impeded my enjoyment of the final season so far, and that last second miracle cigarette realization thing was kind of stupid...

    I guess I could see Daniel Bryan as Kenichi, with Orton as Odin and Triple H as the Great Sage Fist...which means Bryan needs to go out into the woods for extra special training with Master Shawn Michaels. Actually the idea of Bryan beating Orton by mimicking the styles of his trainers (which, according to always-reliable Wikipedia includes WIlliam Regal, Tracey Smothers, and Masato Tanaka) is pretty fucking awesome and is something someone in wrestling really should rip off from Kenichi at some point.

    And finally the "anything less than replicating Bruno's Championship run = Dolph being buried" crowd shows up to write off nearly beating the Shield 1-on-3 with "doing the job".

    you laugh, but I honestly was considering a Shane return as Bryan's benefactor as a possibility for a moment there

    I'm thinking part of the reason people might be having problems with the way Bryan's scenario played out tonight is that, as I eluded to earlier, Punk is off on an island doing his own version of "lone face vs. heel stable", only his angle's been going on longer and has progressed to the point where's he's already had some badass moments. Maybe we are chomping at the bit at little too hard to see Bryan catch up to where Punk is.

    you couldn't remember the term "trolling"? It's right up there with "hipster" as the most obnoxiously overused term on the internet.It was the "concern" part that elluded me for a minute. I don't know what concern trolling is. But way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many people use the term trolling as an easy out online. I mean, Republican goes on a Democrat forum specifically to talk shit, that's troll. Atheist goes on a religious forum specifically to talk shit, that's a troll. When a guy using the moniker "Dale Hunter" shows up at the Philly sports blog I post at regularly to tell us how much the Flyers suck, that's a troll. Me or Reggie or whoever not liking how the end segment of Raw was booked isn't trolling, it's having a difference of opinion from you. Ultimately too often the term "trolling" ends up getting applied to anyone who dares to hold an unpopular opinion, in which case it's really just message board bullying with the victim being painted as the aggressor.

    You know what else is the problem with all this? They're already running a variation of the same "underdog vs. heel stable" angle with Punk.

    I don't know that Stone Cold was ever made to look like such a putz as to interrupt a show-ending heel gloat-fest without some kind of equalizer like a weapon or beer truck or such.

    The Hank stuff was intense, but I find myself preoccupied with the mystery of the flash forward. It appears Walt's family was killed by someone who wanted to send a message to "Heisenberg". The question remains who? The Arizona cartel? The Mexican cartel? Todd's Aryan pals? Lydia's Czechs? Old friends of Gus Fring's? Who's Walt going to poison, and who's he just going to blow away?

    This should probably be on here, being one of the most famous squashes ever. It aired 11/2/85, but actually was taped 10/22/85 (my ninth birthday). Roddy Piper beat Rick McGraw so badly he earns a ref stoppage victory, and of course when McGraw OD'd shortly thereafter Piper got an unintentional boost to his villain rep when the marks assumed Quickdraw died from the beating. As a sidenote, until watching this again on youtube I had always recalled Piper hitting McGraw with multiple piledrivers, only to see that it was actually DDTs. Then it dawned on me that before Jake Roberts debuted the following year, the WWF actually used to refer to the DDT as a form of piledriver (I think Gorilla used to refer to Adrian Adonis' DDT as a "side reverse piledriver" or something convoluted like that).

    Yeah maybe they coulda shot for a bit more realism here, like "Becomes possibly the most dominant center in Dallas history although you could still make an argument for James Donaldson"

    I don't know about the best...I guess my favorite watching it live was Hardy Boyz-Edge & Christian in a cage at Unforgiven 2000. Worst is easily the Taker-Bossman HIAC at WrestleMania XV.
