    2014 G1 Climax

If Nagata vs. Shibata had been any other night it would have been match of the night, what an absolute war. Nagata has been superb. AJ vs. Suzuki was out of this world though, definitly match of the G1 so far for me. Styles has changed my opinion of him completely in this run.
  2. So many likes on one page. Great save July, great save.
  3. I dont normally listen to Jim Cornettes Podcast..... this week however I may JUST tune in.
  4. If I was a buyer I would be demanding only the good shit. Would only cost $1500-$2000 tops.
  5. Yeah, I really liked Bentley during the early ROH, TNA, MLW days. He had a good douchey charisma about him which the Young Bucks seem to have inherited. The Bentley Bounce was the WORST though.
  6. 2 things Ive never seen the Hooligans but after that promo, I feel like Wade Barrett should bring them and their Dad in as his long lost bare knuckle fighting cousins. Rampage Brown could be so much greatness on this.
  7. Spike TV are at this point the girlfriend of a serial cheater, for several years people were telling them it was going to end in tears, but Spike was all like "no, no, it WILL work out, just you wait and see, I can make him change". They bought them some fancy new toys, funded their crazy aspirations simply because they just wanted to make their relationship work. They paid for some new clothes, an image change, the works. But in the end, all that didnt matter, Spike were happy to just to have someone (even if it was shitty, shitty TNA) in their lives. Then said boyfriend is tagged all over Facebook in pictures with another woman, that woman being Vince Russo. Even Spike can no longer stand by them. To quote Beyonce, "TNA,everything you own is in a box to the left". You go Spike TV girl.
  8. Amongst all this Devitt signing, TNA imploding news, this cropped up in my facebook timeline, a former DVDVR favorite made his return to his home promotion last night. Pretty epic.
  9. Hogan. First of all, he was totally hitting on Liz, even as a kid I could understand why Savage was a wreck. Then the Rumble deal with Sid, he just seemed to constantly back stab his 'friends' and the act like this sad goof when they turned on him. I hate his hound-dog "wha did I do?" look, I hated his posing after the matches, I hated saying your prayers and eating your vitamins. Then he went away and all seemed good for a while, then he came back and beat Yokozuna and I literally stopped watching WWF for a few years. Then he showed up in WCW and proceeded to stink the shit out of the place, he just didnt seem to fit the WCW mould at the time. When he turned heel I as like "finally" now EVERYONE has got to know he is a dick now right? It was like my own personal wrestling hell. I appreciate the Rock match now but at the time I hated him for 'stealing the Rocks thunder' (I am a terrible fan). The only thing he ever did I truly enjoyed was the Mr. America schtick, but the lie detector categorically confirmed that it was not Hulk Hogan under the mask, I am therefore absolved. I can therefore honestly say Hogan has done nothing I ever enjoyed. His movies and TV shows are all terrible as well.
  10. Brian Pillman for me. I look back on his run and the different stages of his career match almost my childhood / teenage years. He was the high paced white-meat babyface Pillman when I was around 10-12, his matches with Liger were the greatest things I had ever seen. He turned heel just as I became a teenager and started to go through my own adolescent rebellion. His ECW run was the first time I ever really saw ECW. He then jumped to WWF just as I was getting back into that world after not watching WWF for a few years, then all his over the top nonsense with Austin and then Marlena / Goldust just seemed perfect for that era as a 17 year old. I loved every aspect of his work during nearly every stage of his career. I've a few others that are close, but Pillman had an impact on me as a kid / teenager and its hard for me to replace that.

Just watched Nagata / Nakamura, just packed with goodness.
  12. As long as she is kept far away from any rebellious blonde anti heros..
  13. Back in the 80/90s I always assumed Bundy was an old dude, I was surprised when I found out he wasnt that old! I always liked him going up against other big dudes. Here he is vs. Bam Bam Bigelow, which is a good little sprint for 2 big dudes.. Love the first bump he takes and Bigelow's cartwheel in celebration! Bundy's facial expressions were always great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBZg8b_OZTQ
  14. So here's Jerry Lawler, who nearly died the last time I saw him wrestle, accepting a match with Kevin Steen, in 2014. Why cant this Lawler been on TV every Monday???
  15. Yeah, add me to the Negro Casas list here. Dude goes like he is 20, his Hair / Mask match vs. Mistico is one of the best matches, in terms of excitement, Ive ever seen.
  16. I turned off last weeks with a few minutes to go as I was in the car when listening to it. Didn't realize it was a 2 parter DVDVR I thank you.
  17. Come on Joe, you can get down to 230 if only you Bo-Leeeeeve! Goddam, if anyone in history has dragged out signing with WWE its Sting, I remember being a teenager waiting for Raven to be announced as signing with WWE but this is taking the goddam biscuit.
  18. I have little memory of this as a kid, in my mind he just stopped being Tugboat and started hanging around with Earthquake for no particular reason. That being said, if they ever decide to turn Kofi, this is the way to do it. "Cena never thanked me for telling kids to send him cards (for the week and a bit) he was out".
  19. I had an account on the old board and used it to lurk. I vowed when the new board kicked in I would post more... and I have... almost once every 2 days!
  20. Torito being the 3rd tallest in the Cosplay pic really puts it over the top. It could be Devitt? He is into that kind of thing.
  21. Tommy Dreamer > Passion of the Christ. I loved that episode. The Backlund story itself is fantastic "Paul, he's running to the ring", "No he's not"
  22. Ok, that Nagasaki and Hogan mask pic will haunt my nightmares for the next few months.
