  1. Remember that time Kenta showed up and then… something something NJPW
  2. I don’t think there’s much rhyme or reason to the size thing. Vince likes money and he likes guys that make him money, whether it’s Daniel Bryan or Andre. The main thing is to stick to Vince’s ever shifting rules for continual employment in the WWE. If your being a pain in his ass, you’re done. If he finds something he dislikes about you, be it personality, accent, tattoos, you’re done. If you try to get over doing something he dislikes, you’re done. If you piss off one of his ‘inner circle’, you’re done. If you sneeze within a hundred feet of him, done. It’s an interesting case study for sure.
  3. “Uh oh, we know who that is!” ”Its the Internet Galaxy!!! What are they doing here!!”
  4. I feel like I need to see PAC & Tommy End, as angry euro goths vs. the Lucha Bros. Make it happen TK
  5. When those Alesteir Black vignettes first aired I had serious Sean O’Haire vibes from them and now it’s went full circle and he has literally become Sean O’Haire 2021. Interesting character and promos that we never get to see in a ring. I hate that company sometimes!
  6. “Hey Vince, Nick Khan here, we’re hiring <line muffles> Horowitz to work in digital” ”Sure why not, Barry Horowitz, I loved that guy” Vince pats himself on back.
  7. For what it’s worth I enjoyed it at the time, I still enjoy it now and I’ve never understood the backlash it got. I’m not particularly a fan of either guy and only watched it out of curiosity.
  8. Jarrett this week, when asked what he done after WCW folded he said “I went to the lake in Florida with Borash and we rode jetskis all summer”. I cannot unsee JJ as Kenny Powers and Borash as Stevie.
  9. That would be fantastic. I’d also pop for a Jerry Lawler 97 Rumble style spot. Headset off, enters ring, immediately eliminated, returns to desk like nothing ever happened.
  10. Davey Richards overall #1 draft pick. Did not see that happening in 2021. Court really loves trying to rehome “troublesome” talents.
  11. Weren't Girthy, Beefy, Greasy & Sleazy Jerry Lawler’s tag team partners against Doink & The Dinks?
  12. On the subject on hair, I heard recently (assuming it was Pillman Jr on AEW podcast) that the reason the mullet was so popular among wrestlers back in the day was because it had all the spot calling benefits of long hair in the back, while the short hair in the front kept the face clear for selling facial expressions.
  13. I know it’s been brought up many, many times before but there are so, so many Pages and Cages in this company and now they go and add Rampage. We could now see Ethan Page & Brian Cage vs. Hangman Page & Christian Cage accompanied by Diamond Dallas Page inside a steel cage, in a match for the ages, on Rampage. Is TK booking solely based on that one Smashing Pumpkins song?
  14. He’s a “Dark Side of the Ring” waiting to happen, and not a good one either. He either winds up becoming some wacked out preacher or back doing deathmatches in front of 8 people, or even worse, both.
  15. The last hour of the Jeff Jarrett podcast on Owen is a tough and emotional listen. Went from belly laughs at some of Owen’s ribs to tears when talking about his passing.
  16. Yeah, you know you are getting old when you see a pic like that and immediately think “gee, those floor tiles don’t look very comfortable, they are probably cold too”.
  17. I can’t remember specific matches in TNA, I’d probably need to revisit, but my overall memory was that he was on fire in TNA right before he passed away. He also had a decent run in IWA:MS around 04-05. Remember a match with AJ being a stand out.
  18. It happened to my old man. He snapped his lower leg messing around playing football with his buddies, got 2 pins in his bone. Woke up one day in agony and the pins were pushing his skin out. His body literally rejecting the pins. My mom says it was like something out of a horror flick. My Dad loves to tell that story because he’s gross.
  19. I don’t understand how this show can be consistently good to great each week and yet Raw is consistently bad to terrible. Everything on Smackdown generally makes sense, is entertaining and there isn’t a wasted minute. Reigns and the Usos just hitting it out of the park each week. Easily my favourite thing in wrestling in 2021
  20. RIP New Jack. “Natural Born Killers” just hit, and shit just got real wherever you have passed on to.
  21. Just watched the Nick Gage ep, crazy how many guys in the clips are either dead or on national TV. I think Nicky is the only one still wrestling on the indies. I’m glad he seems to be in a good place now but having grown up around and had issues myself I know how easy it is to slip. Lauderdale hit the nail on the head, he might be doing well today but he’s got to want to fight for that every day of his life.
  22. I’m crazy intrigued by the Cody match now. I don’t care if it only goes 30 seconds but I want the most jingoistic entrances known to man. Cody needs to recreate Apollo Creed’s famous entrance, hoping TK has somehow bought the rights to ‘American Dream’ or ‘Living in America’. Anthony Agogo needs one of those entrances top British fighters get, Big Ben chiming, Union Jack walkout suit, Rule Britannia as his entrance music. Hell, find him a little bulldog to bring to the ring, I mean Cody will likely have his dog dressed in an Uncle Sam costume. To top it off they should import 200 British fans to act like hooligans and do soccer chants through the duration of the match. Give it that authentic big Vegas fight feel.
  23. Orange Cassidy presents “Double or whatever”
  24. I’m a long time deathmatch fan, ECW sent me down a tape trading rabbit hole that took me years to extract myself from. There are deathmatch workers I genuinely loved, Necro Butcher, Toby Klein, Jun Kasai, JC Bailey, Danny Havoc, Nick Gage, Zandig and then there is a whole bunch that I thought completely sucked (mostly IWA:Deep South and XPW guys). All the guys I liked had some semblance of a character rather than just “fat guy in denim shorts and a singlet slicing people up” which seemed par for the course in the early 2000’s or “skinny meth-head in a boiler suit messing around with box cutters” which seemed to arrive in the late 2000’s. Pre-prison Gage was always more than decent in regular matches and always great in wild brawls. Funnily enough I never thought his deathmatch tournament stuff stacked up against regular matches. He never seemed as comfortable rolling around in glass and barbed wire as much as say Zandig or Ian Rotten would. I always felt he probably never truly enjoyed participating in deathmatches as much as his peers. He’d probably never admit it. In fact probably for the best no one eve shows him this post.
