  1. Did watch the PPV but if you made ROH the sports based promotion (as it sounds like it was presented on Saturday night) and kept AEW as the gimmicky stuff and the shenanigan's. then you have your separation. I've also been saying for a while that one of these streaming services needs to do a wrestling show. Put ROH on HBOmax, build some sort of arena in a warehouse or a sound stage to give it a bit of an identity. Film a few weeks and then let guys do indys. Keep the brands fairly separate but occasionally have talent go back and forth so keep people fresh
  2. Britt Baker v. Thunder Rosa started in a lights out match and ended in a cage match. Plus the Bucks dropped the titles in a cage match to prevent interference so we have precedent
  3. I wonder if all the interference leads to Eddie v. jericho in a cage
  4. Chavo said after doing the Andrade angle and then going to work on young rock he couldn't get a response. I'm on the side of talent on this one, not returning messages is kind of a pet peeve of mine. It takes ten seconds just do it
  5. Countdown show made it seem that the tag title are the main event
  6. I personally haven't watched anything other than a youtube clip since the NXT change over cause AEW takes almost all my wrestling watching time. (and I'd rather go to an a live indy show than watch raw) but I kind of feel this way about WWE the corporation. I use a bank and I'm of the feeling that all the big banks are shady. Walmart and McDonalds have shitty business/labor practices but so do most fast food / big box retailers. My point is no matter what no ones hands are completely clean when it comes to what they support with their dollars. Personally I'm in no rush to ever give him my money again. My personal line for things like this is that I won't pay to see the new Roman Polanski film I might at some point rewatch Rosemary's baby cause it al ready exists
  7. Over the last couple of years I've read a few books about political reporting. One of the key lessons in reporting in Washington is that anyone who gives you information is doing so for a reason, no none is doing it out of the goodness of their heart. so you have understand everyone has an agenda. It al seems very similar to reporting on professional wrestling
  8. I'm guessing that's him trying to use humor. I really hope he either writes a book or sits for some form of long form interview. I would just love to hear his side of the last 40 years
  9. Makes me glad he's somewhere where all his expertise will be put to good use
  10. He was having a drink wasn't he?
  11. I've always felt exactly this. Much like Tommy Dreamer Eddie Kingston is a consummate underdog, if he won then went on an 8 month Hogan like tear it would rob him of his Eddie Kingstonness. Eddie needs a big win here and there so he a threat not a lovable loser but not to many big wins (which is why I think the finish to the barbwire match was perfect, Sure Eddie lost but he got his pound of flesh and then some in the process). I don't know what the status of MJF really is but if Maxwell could somehow fuck Eddie out of his big moment? Nuclear heat
  12. Maybe he gets the Tommy Rich / Ron Garvin run? (handled better)
  13. JOHN TENTA APPERCIATION WEEK!!! They put cool hand ange in the shark cage! He's not a shark he's a man! Jericho remembers the old saying "what the hell! use the bell!" both these guys are trying to be middle aged and crazy terry funk! And I think you guys have the finish all wrong. Sure Jericho got the pinfall, he won the battle, but Kingston won the war. It wasn't about wins and losses with him it was about hurting Jericho making him bleed. And He got that, he threw him into the barbwire spiderweb to end the show for Lemmy's sake! Dax pulling a Dusty Rhodes promo in Atlanta! Opener was real fun but the rest of the show didn't do a lot for me
  14. 1. plus kinda 3. I think he's still sharp but like a lot of older folks stuck in his ways I think the story (from Cornette's side) is he saw them backstage at a show and sarcastically said "Hi bucks we've got the only angle in wrestling anyone believes anymore" I also agree with people who like Mox cause hes matches feel like a real fight and a struggle
  15. Maybe my timeline is off but I think refusing to go with him as the top guy in the company not only left money on the table but turned off a number of fans by saying "no matter what you want we won't give it to you" there was a meme that I can find that showed hogan, then austin, then bryan saying its happening again. Imagine if Vince had never gotten on board with Austin's big push
  16. Worst booking decision makes me thing of Death of WCW type stuff. I would say worst booking decision as far as money left on the table in not going with American Dragon as your top guy in 2014/2015. TNA/Impact never got to the point where I felt they could have left money on the table. My answer tot his would be my runner up to the above. Punk winning the title and leaving the promotion
  17. I want -1 to disappear so that he can make surprise during Cody's AEW hall of fame speech hitting a discus clothesline setting up Cody's final match
  18. Where we supposed to know that The Fiend and Bray Wyatt where the same person?
