My original plan was to staight up boycott DC with the New 52. But then... there were certain projects that made me at least check some stuff. I read Swamp Thing through Rotworld, ditto Animal Man. I'm one of the people that isn't a fan of Snyder on Batman because he likes dangling carrots that end up not paying off and I think I'm the only person that was buying World's Finest simply because I'm a huge fan of Power Girl and have been since the original run of Infinity Inc. As of now the only book I still read is Wonder Woman. Just Wonder Woman, because it really is that much fun. The rest... I just don't care anymore. I'll pick and choose from both companies these days. I think the only thing I consistently buy that is a comic book is when a new Atomic Robo mini comes out and I'll wait for trade on the new Sandman series. Marvel has my money for at least 4 issues of Iron Fist. James

On a different note... Netflix put up Ip Man - The Final Fight. Making movies about Ip Man, during various stages of his life, seems to be the new cottage industry in Hing Kong as a movie a year about him seems to come out. I'm hoping in 20 years they're still making Ip Man movies the way they still make-up stories for Wong Fei-Hung. I hope it leads to a movie where Ip man has to fight Dracula! Seriously though, I enjoyed the hell out of this movie. Anthony Wong is a great older Ip Man and the movie tries to a bit more accurate than the Donnie Yen movies (which I enjoy regardless). Anthony Wong has been in so many movies, I'm still blown away that he was Kau in The Heroic Trio. The movie is more story than fight driven but they do build to a big fight at the end and it is a fun one. Watch it, its worth your time James

Well Goddam! I just started re-watching Babylon 5 and if it isn't the bST science fiction show made for TV I don't know what is. Just that whole arc from "Babylon Squared" through "War Without End" still blows my mind and of course how it ties into "Sleeping In Light". I'm pretty sure by the time I get through it all (again) I'll have shed a few tears. More shows need to be thought out this well James

I always liked Madden as Reuben Kincaid, the guy who was the manager on the Partridge Family. I always bought him as a guy who could've been kinda sleazy but felt like he had to do right by this family trying to make ends meet. Of course I also understood the relationship between Reuben and Danny Partridge as 2 conmen trying to out con one another. Madden had his moments as being pretty darn funny. James

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are the work of the devil. Use thigh meat. It all boils down to what you prefer. I have no beef with boneless breast meat but thigh meat won't cost you as much and is equally good. The batch I made tonight was thigh meat btw... James

I think one of the things I lament is the loss of the recipe thread from the old board (along with The BBQVERSITY thread, which hopefully can get restarted). That being said, here is my recipe for Cheezy Chicken, Artichoke & Spinach Bake Ingredients 2lbs of boneless Chicken (breasts or thighs) cut into strips 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese 1 Cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese 1./2 Cup grated Parmesan 2 Cups Sour Cream 1 8 oz Package of Cream Cheese 1 12 oz can artichoke hearts (or you can use fresh if you prefer) 1 8 oz can of mushrooms (again fresh is good) 1 package of frozen leaf or creamed spinach 1 tsp Red Pepper Flake 4 Tbsp minced garlic 2 tubes Pillsbury Grand Rolls (or suitable equivalent) Instructions Preheat Oven to 400 F Take 3 cap fulls of vegetable oil and pour into hot skillet. Once oil is heated properly add 4 Tbsp of garlic. Once garlic is heated/toasted add chicken. Cook chicken through on mMedium High until cooked all the way through. You can leave it unattended if necessary, just check on it while prepping the other things. Once fully cooked drained excess grease/juice and l;et stand 10 minutes. Open can of Artichoke Hearts, drain liquid and put in large mixing bowl, do same with mushrooms (again drain liquid). Add Cream Cheese and Sour Cream. Stir contents until everything is fully incorporated. Next fold in Parmesan and Mozzarella cheeses until fully blended. Add chicken to mixture and stir, making sure chicken is covered in cheese mixture and incorporated with spinach/artichokes and mushrooms. Add Red Pepper flake. Pour into baking/casserole dish (I use an 8x12). Spread to make as even as possible. Now take your 2 tubes of rolls, separate the rolls and place them on top of Chicken/Artichoke/Mushroom/Spinach/Creamy mixture. Bake 30 minutes then take out of oven and sprinkle 1 cup Cheddar Cheese on top before returning to oven for another 30 minutes. End Result Half of this is already gone since I served it to my roommates. Even my one friend who doesn't like greens devoured this. Its really quite tasty. James

I was bored and wanted to try something new on Netflix and "Endeavour". Basically tried it on a whim and discovered its a prequel to Inspector Morse, which was always one of those PBS Msytery shows I kind of blew off in the 90s. 3 episodes deep and I'm really enjoying it so far. The Opera Killer episode is kind of predictable but the first 2 episodes are reall good "Whodunnit?" mysteries. Needless to say I'll be watching the rest of season 1 of Endeavour. James
