Death From Above Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 I'd say surely Toronto don't have 5 comebacks in a row in them, but this is Hamilton led by Henry Burris we're talking about, so honestly it seems more likely here than a couple other times.
DouglasC Posted October 5, 2013 Author Posted October 5, 2013 Edmonton's season summed up in one play.
Death From Above Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Smallest regular season crowd I have ever seen at Commonwealth Stadium in my life. Also, must be said, wasn't hard to see why.
Death From Above Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 This Montreal/Winnipeg game is, so far, one of the most gloriously hideous football games of the year.
DouglasC Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Swayze Waters throws a mean clothesline.
Death From Above Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 Edmonton's season in brief: Got ahead 12-1 early, then during the rest of the game have been outscored 28-3.
Dewar Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Holy shit, that season finale in Winnipeg was terrible. Thank goodness for free tickets and a beautiful, sunny day, because that game was SHIT.
Death From Above Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Edmonton got a consolation win and Ricky Ray is going to humble bitches in the playoffs so I guess that's what I settle for.
DouglasC Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 I'm a LeFevour believer! It bears repeating!
odessasteps Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Watching the sportswriters on twitterthis afternnon, sounds like the game in Hamilton was bonkers.
Death From Above Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 It was super windy which had a lot of impact. Ugly football, but it was close all the way.
Dewar Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 The 22 yard field goal falling short because of how hard the wind was blowing might have been the funniest football play since Kerwin Bell spiked the ball into his own nuts.
Death From Above Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 It was like God said "you know what? I really don't like the Allouettes anymore". The side angle shot was just awesome. It just stopped dead in mid air and went almost straight down.
DouglasC Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 OSKEE WEE WEE BABY! Now, go Stamps! Mainly so I reduce my likelihood of getting murdered next weekend.
Death From Above Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Great East final. Go to hell Calgary Heathens in the west.
odessasteps Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Coincidence argos were outscored 19-0 after Rob Ford showed up?
DouglasC Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Unless Hamilton puts up a similar performance to what they did last time they were in SK, unable to score even a point, I'm dead meat.
Death From Above Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I don't see Hamilton winning, but they have enough explosive big play guys that it's foolish to ever just write them off in advance. Seems like it can be an exciting match up.
Death From Above Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 The Riders/Stampeders west final drew 1.9 million viewers in Canada, which for a non-Grey Cup, non-hockey broadcast, is an astonishing number for Canadian TV. This Grey Cup with Saskatchewan at home will probably be a record of some kind. The east final did 1.7 million, which might even be more shocking.
sabremike Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Go Ti-Cats! Still remember listening to the games as a kid on 900 CHML which for some reason came in clear as day in the NYC suburb of Lake Carmel where I lived.
odessasteps Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 @TSNDaveNaylor: It was 18 years ago today that the Baltimore Stallions won the Grey Cup.

Truly shocking considering how tenuous the situation is for the future of all the clubs in the east. Westerners must have got up early to pop that ratings number
