On a weird note, a woman I work with has never heard of Ghostbusters. She was talking about fun movies with monsters or ghosts that would be appropriate for her kids (ages 10 and 12). I mentioned Ghostbusters, and she didn't react. So I was like "You know, with Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd...William Atherton?" She eventually relented, in that way you do when you want another person to stop talking about the subject.

 

I can't think of many movies in the last 50 years of cinema that would be more culturally well known.
