jaedmc Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 ISHII vs. SHIBATA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASVEQ6VGkQA DAVEY BOY SMITH JR. vs. WAVELL STARR(Another name I can't believe is real)
The Damn Yeti Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I had Magnus vs. Ryback in this matchup (because HOSSES? I guess?), and I don't know much about either of these cats this year. I'll wait for some arguments to get slung around. 1
Raziel Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Smith would be better off if he wasn't stuck in Suzukigun's never ending fued with Bullet Club. Ishii is having awesome matches toward the upper part of the card, Smith is the best part of terrible tag matches. Ishii wins.
NintendoLogic Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 OK, that tears it. We need a terrible wrestling names tournament. Make it so, jae.

T.Rex-n-effeckx Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 First Nation Sensation Wavell Starr is an ex Stampede guy and I want to say one of Rippa's favorite recurring Heat/Velocity enhancement guys.
Dewar Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Canadian Wrestling Legend Wavel Starr being showcased = win.
Goodear Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 The first 45 seconds of that Ishii - Shibata match is everything I hate about Japanese style wrestling.
T.Rex-n-effeckx Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 This maybe the most amazing wrestling angle ever starring Wavell Starr:http://youtu.be/LMaSxaodC28 1
jaedmc Posted March 13, 2014 Author Posted March 13, 2014 Holy shiiiiiiiit that made all of the effort I put into this stupid tourney totally worth it. 2
DylanWaco Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 As I said earlier, I think Ishii was the best guy out of Japan last year that we actually got a sizable sample of work from. There are a lot of things he does that I don't are for, but he had two Tanahashi matches I liked in a year which is a record. Smith is frustrating because I think he has shown flashes of real greatness. In a lot of way's I think he's the "Opposites Attract" of wrestling constantly taking two steps forward, and then two steps back. He will have a year or a run where he looks like he is on the verge of becoming outstanding, and then he will have a run where he's decent enough, but does nothing special. This was not an "outstanding year."
Dewar Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Cocaine to the eyes, and Dylan making references to Paula Abdul songs. Best March Madness thread ever!
