  1. I had no idea Bernthal was married to Kurt's niece.
  2. That rules. That's the kind of carny shit that's so perfect Vince would roll a tear at if he saw...while calling McDevitt to steamroll them.
  3. I really liked the first episode of No-End House. The atmosphere for the rooms was terrific, and I think it's neat that the rest of the series seems like it'll take place in Room 6. I'm assuming each episode we'll get background on what the other kids saw in their respective rooms 4 and 5.
  4. I got halfway through Stone Killer once and I found the plot so impenetrable, mostly because of terrible ADR in the mafia scenes that made no sense, that I gave up.
  5. I don't know about Roku, but on Xbox the Hulu update also came with the most aggressive earth-shaking log-on tone that I've ever heard. I have to mute the television beforehand to not upset the toddler and the dogs when I enter the app, regardless of what the volume of the tv is set to.
  6. I recall it being short and mostly built on comedy spots.
  7. I didn't want to bump the Flair thread and freak anyone out, but I had to post this for, "I think this'll open a whole new door for motivational speaking." Workers are always working.
  8. Heads up for anyone interested that Channel Zero season 2 starts tonight on SyFy. This season they're doing the No-End House creepy pasta story.
  9. I didn't realize Vice Principals was back. That'll give us something to watch tonight. Morty's Mind Blowers felt like the weakest episode this season to me, but this run of Rick and Morty has been remarkably consistent and it was coming off of the Citadel episode, so it's not really a knock on the episode. i just got into Toast of London. Matt Berry has always cracked me up in Darkplace and IT Crowd, but this show reveals the full extent of his genius. It's such a bravura performance of utter absurdity, but theres always a weirdly relatable vulnerability to Toast that makes him likeable. It's easy to play a selfish bore, but it's difficult to make you root for the character anyway. And the show's songs got me into Berry's acid jazz albums, which are fantastic.
  10. It's been said quite a few times on here over the years, his call on Royal Rumble 92 is one of the greatest commentary performances ever. Such a genius.
  11. I don't think anyone's going to lose sleep if they retcon the Busta Rhymes reality show installment of the franchise, to be honest.
  12. Frank Vincent, the undisputed king of mob movie beat downs.
  13. The Singhs are going to die trying to get that title match over. I'd guess KO/Shane will be relatively tame as far as big spots. Probably something like the powerbomb through one of the cell walls.
  14. Yeah, I rewrote it a few times and it was still a poorly constructed sentence.
  15. Southpaw Regional Wrestling: The Movie. They have to put on a benefit show to stop the fairgrounds from being bought out by an evil land developer and wackiness ensues.
  16. It's strange that King keeps doubling down on the group sex scene even though he has the out that he spent half the 80s in a blackout stupor.
  17. Louis CK premiered a "surprise" movie at TIFF, I Love You Daddy. He stars in it along with Chloe Grace Moretz, Charlie Day, and John Malcovich. The essential conceit is what would happen if an apologist fan for a sacred cow director with a soiled reputation in the vein of Polanski or Allen were to meet their hero and discover they have designs on their teenage daughter. It sounds spicey, especially since it sort of acknowledges that CK has developed his own baggage that his fans ignore. I'm not sure if it's found distribution yet, but I'm assuming it'll make its way to Netflix.
  18. The weirdest thing about that McFarlane show is that it was a reaction to CBS passing on his pitch to run their new Star Trek show. So this is literally a repackaged version of what a Seth McFarlane Star Trek show would be. That Rick and Morty episode was written way before the election, which is eerie. The social and political commentary wasn't even the most incisive stuff in the show for me though. It said a lot about human nature and the notion of individuality that was really compelling. There's no reason a show that started off as a filthy Back to the Future parody short should be one of the best shows on television, but here we are.
  19. Warrior and Lex bumping and feeding off of each other's clotheslines would have been something else. I'm getting winded just thinking about it.
  20. It's possible that Warrior gets the title back if he does have the Rumble match with Bret. They run Warrior/Yokozuna and then maybe a rematch between Bret and Bulldog at Wrestlemania.
  21. That's a bummer, I was hoping for Batman & Harley Quinn to be close in tone to BTAS. Who knew when they were making the show that they were low key obsessed with all of these characters having sex with each other.
  22. I don't know enough about class action suits. Would Corbin bumping weekly on television preclude him from it at some point, or can the defendants not cherry pick among the collective complaints?
  23. I could've sworn someone put this up already, but since I can't find it, You Were Never Really Here, starring Joaquin Phoenix. This looks on the surface like Joaquin's entry in the middle aged action hero genre by way of Taxi Driver. Maybe it's supposed to be a commentary on the distinguished greying killer movies since being a mercenary seems like the childish fantasy of a younger person, and someone doing it in middle age would have to be pretty damaged.
  24. He's basically admitted that everything he does as a director now is just so he has things to talk about as content for his shows.
