The Rap Year Book by Shea Serrano is good fun read. Are you gong to agree with al lhis picks for best rap song in a given year? No, but his explaantions are entertaining and educational plus he offers up rebuttals by other critics as to what might be better than his own pick. I mean Serrano does a pretty good job gently cracking jokes at DMX with a stick but then turns around and reminds you of some the shit DMX went through in his early life so you can get the point of what fuels "Ruff Ryderz Anthem". It is a good fun read and I can't recommend it enough! James

Crockett was running 3 shows on TBS by 86. The early Saturday (8;05AM) morning show, the Saturday night show (6:05PM-8:05PM unless there was a Braves game) and the Sunday "Best of Show" (7:05PM). Sometime stuff from the Saturday morning show would carry over ot the Saturday evening show to further undercard angles (man that Saturday AM show had so much Jimmy Valiant/Paul Jones Army stuff!) I don't know if Tennant could, I mean there isn't a chance for him to insert "I'm so, so sorry" in to his dialogue James

As God As My Witness, I Thought Turkeys Could Fly
J.H. replied to Johnny Sorrow's topic in LAND OF CONFUSION
Another year, another apple cider bined Turkey cooked, devoured and carcass stripped of meat to make stock. The Wife made Yams with Apples and Brown Sugar, which was fuckin amazing! James -
"Archie with different characters" translates to "Archie without Juhghead, and thus inferior" to me James

So Ricky Morton is, what? Celtics/86 era Robert Parrish in that scenario? Because seriosuly, I'm 100% OK with that James

Give thanks that Godless Commies aren't NWA World Tag Team Champions anymore! James
-
At the very least they should be able to use "Boogie Woogie Dance Hall", that really weird song Ricky Morton sang James

If I remember right, Sid used the camera on Shawn in the SS match and then Shawn got revenge by doing the same in the RR match I could very well be wrong though and Sid might have won the first match on a Greco-Roman scoring system based on takedowns. James

Has the line-up for Turkey Day Marathon been revealed yet? James

I dunno, the old NWA Worldwide/Power Pro theme along with the TBS theme from 85-87 stick more in my head than the 87 theme, which makes me think that soe TGIF sitcom is coming on. James

After watching all of Jessica Jones in 24 hours, The Wife and I found ourselves needing something newish. Thus we powered through all of Rick & Morty Season 1. I haven't seen my Wife laugh like that watching TV so needless to say, it's a hit with us! James

Charlotte wishes she were Luger at this point in her career. She isVan Hammer level bad James

Man I hope this shit leads to Dakota North showing up in some fashion in the Netflix MCU James

The mere idea of anything on WWE Network being Game of Thrones intrigues me. Kevin Owens would make a fine Robert Baratheon! James

AH ok! I'm watching movie 3 right now. I really dig it. I've always liked Digimon more than Pokemon because the stakes were higher storywise. James
-
Yeah thisI know but how are the movies tying into the Digimon Adventure tri TV series? Will the TV series end on a cliffhanger and conclude with the movies? Will the movies just retell the currently running tri TV series or will it be a new story altogether? James

The Mecha Mummy v. Liger match remains one of the most genius comedy matches of all time James

It took me a long time to appreciate Larry Zybysko. I don't think I came around to him until I was in my late 20s. When they put the AWA strap on him all I could think was "Zybysko? Really?". I don't think it was until after he retired and the feud with Regal in WCW that I came around to just how great Larry was. James
-
Wait, do the tri movies connect to the TV series at all? James
-
The Wife is not usually a "comic book" project follower but she and I watched "Don't Watch The B In Apt 23" together and she agrred to watch Alias based on how much she liked Krysten Ritter. We marathoned all of Jessica Jones in a day, finished at 6AM Saturday morning. Our only regret is that so much has been laid out for a Season 2 that if for some reason that doesn't get greenlit I'll be annoyed James

My gripe with the finish of Bock/Hennig 60 minute was the figure four spot. Hennig had been working the arm th whole match while Bock worked the leg, so for Hennig to suddenly go for a leg submission with a minute left killed the suspense for me. Even as a teenager I knew once they were down to less than 5 minutes that it was going tobe a draw, I just think Hennig going for a series of pins would've been better to wrap it up James
-
Yeah the 60 minute match was from the Showboat and the title switch was at the Cow Palace. Both are really good matches, though the 60 minute match is a little better despite the goofy ending. The title change led to the match that ended the Zybysko/Bock feud and then Bock's injury angle that was done so he could jump to WWF (unless my brain is foggy) James

Bret "The Hitman" Clarke would agree. I could only imagine how much WCW was pissing away on Michael Buffer. Buffer's standard fee was $1 million/appearance to my understanding. James
