Kaito is the GHC HW Champion again. 3 time GHC HW Champion.

Lot of other interesting things happened on the Wrestle Magic sumo hall show. They brought back the GHC Martial arts rule for this show too, but in tag format.

The Marigold ladies won.

Kenoh vs. Minoru Suzuki is set.

The N-1 is coming back this year.

4,583 Fans for the first UJPW show at the Tokyo Nippon Budokan

Kitto got a win over the mouse.

Jake Lee pinned Naito, and Jake Lee challenged Naito to a singles match.

Kaito pinned future NJPW star Uemura in the 6 man main event. Gabe Kidd attacked Kaito and challenged Kaito, Kaito accepted. So they will face each others in NOAH in a GHC Heavyweight Championship match.

They propped up NOAH abit.

The next UJPW show is next month, and taking place in Sapporo on june 15th. The links to the upcoming event were weirdly taken down.

Kaito and Kenoh's new unit is named All Rebellion. Kenoh wants to destroy the old NOAH. Alejandro and the mysterious black-masked "Cristobal" are also members . They're gonna try to change NOAH, and the unit is a revolutionary one like those old AJPW units.

They will war against the Bullet Club War Dogs.

I will spoilerize the CC results, though I think it’s unnecessary

Spoiler

Kento wins!

Only his second CC victory, though he’s been in many finals.

Not sure what they do with Kento vs Anzai. Seems too early to end Anzai’s reign without hurting him, and too soon to have him beat Kento. But also a 60 minute draw sounds bad too.

From the CyberFight Press Conference

Yasuo Okamoto has been appointed as the new president of CyberFight. He is also the Representative Director.

Takagi is now EVP.

The other structures for the respective promotions are the same.

They're gonna strengthen their relationship with WWE. Seems WWE and NOAH, if you looked at social media tags.

Keiji Muto is the new scouting advisor for NOAH.

Both Eita and Ulka Sasaki joined NOAH.

Masahiro Chono working with DDT to bring the Safety Task Force Project.

CyberFight Inc.'s new structure will begin on June 1st

Amusing to see people from the west crying about WWE involvement. But whatever.

What company's besides New Japan are offering the best stuff? I'm thinking about getting back into puro after a too many year layoff.

Like when I was watching Ryota Hama was still a current name, and now enough time has passed that people have forgotten his existence.

I'd recommend trying Wrestle Universe for a month, since it comes with DDT, Noah, TJPW, and Ganbare, plus they have added Michinoku Pro, Sendai Girls, and Zero One recently as well. That way you get a nice sampler of what else is out there, outside of All Japan and Big Japan.

I personally love DDT because of their mix of comedy and serious, but if that's not for you, maybe Noah might be.

I used to sub to Wrestle Universe a long time ago, but I think at the time it was just DDT and TJPW. That'll probably be my solution. I'm going to Japan in October so I'm hoping to get a feel for the promotions and catch a show.

It's definitely worth at least getting the week-long trial. You get a really good mix of groups for what they offer and the service has been rock solid for the last couple of years. It's 1298 yen a month now, but even if the yen ever strengthens back to 100 yen = $1 USD, I'd still think it was worth it for the variety they offer and how well the service works. (If only they had a native Apple TV app...)

AJPW deserves a lot of criticism for its recent booking (and other choices), but on the next big show there are two title matches featuring guys who debuted less than three years ago (TC/tag) and one featuring a dude with about five years of experience (Honda). Pushing new guys is usually a good move—hope Aoyagi doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.
