  1. Will Jim Ross please quit pitching himself to Sonic? It's just annoying now.
  2. I picked up Halo Anniversary for $9.99 used at Best Buy. I decided that I was a big boy and could handle the original game on Legendary. Boy am I going to regret this decision based on what little I played of the first mission before getting ready for Summerslam last night.
  3. Were people really even using Napster by the time it was actually shut down? Because I remember it existing far after it actually being useful to me. Napster was kind of a non-factor by the time I had "high-speed" internet. I was on Kazaa, Limewire, and whatever else was popular at the time. MORPHEUS AND BEARSHARE! If you wanna talk about programs that slowed down your computer dramatically, those two had so much adware and spyware. I think Morpheus might have been my first one too. I sadly used all of them: Morpheus Bearshare Soulseek(was that the name of it?) DC++ mIRC Kazaa Limewire I actually used Audiogalaxy a couple of times on a 56k machine (45 minutes for a 3 MB song FTW!)
  4. We previewed Alexander at a theater that a few of my friends worked for at the time of the movie's release. It was tied to a pretty crazy night in general, and our screening didn't finally begin until I would guess nearly two in the morning. However, the movie was pretty unwatchable, and I finally walked out at I'm not sure what point anymore.
  5. Wyatt's voice with the bad audio does not sound good at all.

  7. Bo talks about it in one of the two documentaries for ESPN he did (Either Bo Knows Best or Roll Tide/War Eagle).
  8. HBO Go still hasn't come to PS4, and it was announced at the same time as the PS3 one that wasn't announced until after the PS4 had launched, so go figure.
  9. I think the Cinemax stuff might find its way on HBO GO. I know one of their series was on there for a bit. Also, I really have enjoyed THE LEFTOVERS up until this point. I thought Sunday was maybe the weakest episode they've done, but it was coming off of a phenomenal episode of TV the week before. Episodes 3 and 6 are both single character episodes, and they are both fantastic pieces of television.
  10. Also, they randomly abandoned the New Nation gimmick before it even had a chance to begin. I really do not understand this company.
  11. I am two episodes into the BBC version of Sherlock. I am enjoying this, but I am not loving this to the degree that others here have mentioned. It may be a case of Sherlock overkill for me in recent years once you consider two movies, House, and Elementary. I also really like Johnny Lee Miller's take on Sherlock, so Cumberbatch's performance is a little jarring for me. I had a hard time buying the pilot episode as well. I felt like Sherlock's first encounter with an antagonist went too far into beating me over the head with "this is who Sherlock Holmes is" and did not do much to add to the stakes because Sherlock could have walked away and brought in the cops at any given time. I understand that's not a decision that Sherlock would make, but I do not need it to be that on the nose. I would rather his intrigue be less forced and more organic. The second episode was a lot better in my mind, but I thought the plot device used with the mystery was a lot more interesting.
  12. The only match I like in the feud is their December RAW match. That Summerslam match has aged horribly.
  13. Is this their version of running Flair vs Sting on the final episode? Wouldn't TNA's version of running Flair/Sting right now be Bully Ray vs. Abyss? Or would they bring back AJ/Daniels for one night to close the final show?
  14. They've been waffling on the last couple of cards as to whether they should merge the IC/US title at the PPV. One of the rumored plans for the battle royal last month was for Sheamus to win and merge the two.
  15. In Bryant's era, he probably would have recruited JFF and never played him. Bryant used to recruit a lot of top tier talent just so he would not have to play against them. That's why Bo ended up at Auburn. He wanted to go to Alabama but was told "you may get to play by the time you're a senior" or something to that effect.
  16. College Station needs to put around the clock security around any beloved monuments. Someone Johnny Footballed the Bear Bryant statue.
  17. EA decided that a Madden demo wasn't necessary this year. It's a shame. Last year's Madden I think benefited from its Demo.
  18. I finally watched Once Upon a Time in the West for the first time last night, and I honestly did not feel the run time of that movie at all. The first hour or so of the film definitely is not the easiest of sits, as Leone drops you in and then helps you figure out what exactly is going on as the movie progresses, but the performances, beautiful visuals, great score, and great sound editing really put that one over the top for me. Also, Charles Bronson is a man's man in the movie.
  19. Time Limit Draws to return. It adds a potential finish. Due to MMA, even the judges panel actually makes more sense in today's wrestling. You can have matches that go to a time limit draw where one guy dominates the match so decisively, but he cannot put his opponent away, which leads to some fun hope spots and possible upset flash pins as you enter the time limit's home stretch. Say a tv match gets a 30 minute time limit. You could have a look at the judges' scorecards in ten minute intervals.
  20. A face lift and abandoning tank controls for a free aim 3PS system would rekindile my interest in Res Evil. I have been spoiled by ME3 co-op multiplayer. The supposed "remake" is basically going to be the Gamecube version that was released in the early 2000s with some new camera angles. EDIT: Konami might as well do the same thing with MGS1 and just upgrade the Twin Snakes release. Also, digitally release MGS IV for the Xbox Marketplace, already!
  21. I feel like it's Sunday at the Masters, and I am barely surviving with the lead on the back nine.
  22. Update: I did score some tickets for his second Friday night show. They're not great seats, but thankfully it's hard to have too bad of a seat in a basketball arena.
  23. Stubhub is what I avoid for concerts. Always overpriced by a large margin. I'm a big believer in face value for concerts. Stubhub is great for Baseball/Fooball/Wrestlemania. Not much else. Especially since some concerts go the paperless route and you have to guess which seats are open for resale and which are tied to a credit card.
  24. In the grand scheme of life, this is such a minor gripe, but I have a lot more major, stressing things happening in my life that this is what I am going to direct my anger towards. I want to let out a big FUCK YOU to Ticketmaster. I promised my fiance a few years ago that if Garth Brooks ever went on tour I would get her tickets. Well, the announcement of dates is being handled kind of odd with him hitting the road this year. He is doing ten shows in Chicago over eight days (two two-a-days which sounds like a ripoff), and he's not entering the same method for Atlanta. The problem is that only one date gets announced and then the other times magically appear without any notice for people trying to get tickets. The other problem is that these shows are in basketball arenas that seat 15,000 people, which makes it a hunting ground for scalpers, bots, and ticket re-sellers. We also all are aware of ticketmaster's own corrupt past with being a part of that resale market. I hopped on the first public on sale the moment it went on sale and it said it was closed. I had to refresh for about two minutes before it finally opened and by then it was a 15+ minute wait which meant i was SOL. Ticketmaster has since released two more dates completely unannounced that I could have tried to pounce on instead of waiting in their stupid queue. This is something I get tired of running into for concerts, as I would think that going to 3-4 concerts a year despite living 3-4 hours from a decent concert venue would allow me better chances to avoid stupidity like this.
  25. EA is going to probably allow for less customization with each passing year. They indicated as much during interviews with their team for EA UFC. The O'Bannon case has really spooked them to where they are slowly going to kill custom file sharing through stuff like EA Locker.
